The knee excuse. She wouldn't be able to do majority of the Circus, Femme Fatale and POM show if her knee is the problem. It doesn't excuse her stiffness and lack of sharpness and fluidity in her movements.

The Mom excuse. She's been doing the show FOR A YEAR. Even if she spends less time in rehearsals, how could a trained dancer like Britney still have this level of mediocrity in her dancing?

I don't have to explain the other two. Choose wisely.

She's a mom now :ummlol:

No two people are alike, but I had a dance teacher who is Britney's age (33 or 34) and has a child even younger than Brit's boys. She has been a professional dancer for many many years and can out-dance all of her students, aged 14-18. Two other teachers I've had are over 35 and 40, one has 4 kids, and are amazing dancers who have never stopped being dedicated to being amazing dancers. I am certain all of them have had injuries, health problems, personal issues, etc. Funnily enough, they never stopped doing their job and enjoying said job.

I have the opportunity to see Britney in February, however I am debating over whether or not I should go and spend so much money. I think I will wait until album 9 comes out and see if the show changes next year, then go.

Britney is doing a good job (the show last night was not bad). But I just don't see what she is doing as worthy of $1000+ dollars.

At the very least, she could rehearse more. That's what performers do. They have to keep the routines fresh in their minds.

And as a singer, it'd be nice for her to actually sing every now and again.

What I find oddest about Britney's case as a dancer is it seems she's literally forgotten the years of training she had pre-breakdown. :yaknow:

Choreographies like Slave should just be second nature to her. If she really didn't want to rehearse so much anymore, she could just redo her her old choreographies, which her body should most likely remember after doing it literally more than a hundred times. Fans would still be as happy if she did the original Boys dance, for example.

Her retention also seems really bad. After more than a year in this residency (with very LITTLE variations and lbr, very LITTLE dancing), she still seems to be thinking too much of her movements. She just isn't acting like a trained dancer that she should be.

I agree. It is really weird how her technique has flown out the window. Even if medication does cause her stiffness, her a. retention and b. showmanship/attitude should not be so heavily affected.

I mean seriously :crying3:

This looks so effortless and perfect so I find it hard to believe how she "forgot" how to do that.

I doubt she would be able to do the movement in the bridge of If U Seek Amy here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLJhIcij1Sw

Or even the Gimme More movement if her knee holds her back that much imo.

I say this with absolutely no snark or attitude but have you ever experienced the type of injury she has? She's had major surgery on her knee more than once. I'm sure some days are better than others where she CAN do those movements and some days she can't. Britney knows her limits with her own body and she shouldn't be judged for being cautious about something as serious as her knee. She's said herself when she goes hard it starts to snap, that it was the most horrific thing to happen to her. So yes it IS and will remain a legitimate reason, not even an excuse, to why she has her off moment

They probably are second nature to her. Your muscles just don't forget movements like that. Retired athletes can still do the same things after being away from the sport for years due to muscle memory, maybe it's not as good but it's still there. And I'm sure the same case is there with the Slave choreo etc. Just something is happening so it won't come out and idk what it is. I think maybe she doesn't trust herself and is so paranoid that if she screws up that we're gonna drag her, and that's why her movements aren't as fluid because she's thinking about them rather than just letting them come to her. I mean we have proof she can do fluid movements without that like the Mannequin rehersal footage. I just think she's vunerable and letting the pressure get to her to much.

I also think that she's probably bored of doing the original choreography from 10 years ago too and probably wants to switch it up.

for me the saddest excuse is:

she's a mom now  :pieceofwhat:

also the knee excuse, cause lets be honest that's not an excuse :4music:  she's just being lazy or she dont even care anymore, cause if we saw the m&m tour she was so fierce and flawless  :crying1: and she dont even care about that knee. but after the meltdown and since circus tour started (cause the promo tour was flawless too) she just got lazy, or maybe she dosent like to be in front of too many people anymore  :zoomzoom:

anyway i love to see those little sparkles of old britney when she's on stage now, i wish all show was old britney but, im just realistic and im happy if she's ok and stay out of troubles  :displeased:

but deep in my heart i want meltdowney back. she was epic, flawless and fun :blackoutsmiley:

None taken. :) No I haven't, but I know some athletes that needed to go through rehab because of an injury. It takes a while for them to recover, but they usually get it good as new. It could be different with everyone, however.

What I mean is she seems to still do many strenuous routines on the knee even after her breakdown. But even then, it's the sharpness of her movements and her feeling the rhythm of the music that makes a lot of her movements look bad. It's like she has to think hard for every little step now.

Yeah I agree. I screwed up all the ligaments in my knee in a car accident and I was/am hugely athletic and it definitely impacted my sports career. Once those ligaments are loose they are forever loose and you twerk it the wrong way you can feel it and sometimes it gives (especially if she's had an ACL injury) and I don't want her to have it give out on stage and hurt herself again. Your knee carries your whole body and the only thing you can really do about it is keep strong leg muscles, which is probably why Britney has such killer legs especially post-breakdown because I think she knows she has to keep them in amazing shape in order to prevent more knee injuries. Besides the fact that they look awesome  ;)  but I think that's probably why she's so on top of them now

It is absolutely different with everyone, no two bodies are the same.

And that plays into her anxiety. Which is something Britney still, very obviously struggles with. And as a fanbase we don't help by over analyzing her off moments and ripping her apart for it. We should focus on her strengths and helping to build her confidence even higher

The knee excuse isn't really an excuse tho, she injured her knee many times it obviously affect her performances sometimes, tho i agree the knee has nothing to do with her being lazy or not doing fluid movements, i can understand if she couldn't do some moves when it comes to her leg but not being lazy to do a full move with her upper body or even a hairflip, like come on :4music: , and anyway if her knee is hurting (well not hurting but fragilized ya know what i mean) then i doubt her choreographers would make choreos that might hurt her knee in the first place, so every choreos in the show is imo more adapted for her and her abilities so it should be on point and the knee not an excuse for it.

At this point there is no excuses, she's just being lazy tbh.

There is also the "everyone has bad days" excuse lol. I guess Britney's life must be shit then since she didn't have a really good show since february or something :gloria:

No other base will stand by an artist the way the Army has stood by Britney.  :blackoutsmiley: She doesn't sing, she doesn't dance, but she's still very well supported and I fully intend to watch her show next year.

She could at least do her part once in a while imo and work to get better. It seems like it's just getting worse.

Tbh :oya:

When I think about her she once said every day is like groundhog day, I wonder if she would say that now. With Brit's obvious boredom with her music, maybe a greatest hits show wasn't the best idea. The woman doesn't seem to have enough pride in her discography to enjoy performing it.
