She wasn't really a part of it, she was just someone he would have liked to have on his album. But they haven't been able to work together before his album was finished so that's why she's not on it, it's not like she has been rejected or something. Britney already recorded the song, she was confirmed on the album, and he talked about her a lot, the song couldn't be scrapped anyway.

I picture him as the man behind the counter and Britney just a random person who feels alone and stuff and then during the dace breaks people in the background is dancing and she then turns around and they're just sitting down again. Then everything in the song is happening Still like the bridge tho
