Remember that the fact that they're filming the show is nothing new because we've already been told that they're constantly recording! In this video you can see that they have professional footage not just from that first dress rehearsal but also from the October shows with the short hair and the altered Circus outfit

Tbh I'm glad they're doing it this way because what if they filmed a night where Britney wasn't feeling it? This way we're guaranteed only the best parts.

ok let me be honest: you are right. i've only watched concerts from one city, one arena, so if they'd film on different dates you'd notice the different arenas, but britney is just in one, so it makes sense.

I'm sure they film the show for promotional purposes (they send videos to the press and i bet they also use them on the resort and stuff like that). For the dvd they will also record several dates, but they would make sure the outfits and hairstyle are the same so it doesn't look weird *cough* pretty girls MV *cough*

 

Remember they did that for FFT DVD and even the Lace & Leather guest was the same on the two dates

I get the feeling (i could be wrong) that when her DVD does come out it will be more of a documentary style and less of a concert film because they've been filming every night. They're probably filming back stage, at rehearsal, when she's at home etc. We may not know it though. But if this is the case then it makes total sense to edit different performances together and tell the story of her first vegas residency. That would be more compelling to me anyway than just a simple concert film.
