The performance is nothing wow. Yes she looked great, yes she had energy, yes she was smiling, yes she seemed to enjoy it, yes the costume was fucking amazing, but that's it. The performance itself is a let down imo. I didn't feel like it was an award performance, it felt like it was just a basic performance from the POM show being broadcasted, that's it. And i'm sick of Vegas.

So yeah it's cool, it's been televised, we have professional footage (and yet, their editing sucked big time) but i honestly don't feel the excitement in anything she's doing anymore, everytime i'm hoping something would finally be well done from A to Z, it's always a disappointment at the end. Everything has to be staged, pre-taped, controlled.. it's boring. Even if she HAD to perform from PH , why she didn't at least performed live from there ? Is it to difficult to do something real for once ?

I'm sorry i might look like a drama queen right now, but i just want her to shine just once. We have been waiting for a performance since years so yeah it really feels like a let down for me to have a POM performance basically. Right now actually to me it feels like she didn't even perform because it wasn't an award performance but just the show we saw since 2 years now except it's a new performance and we finally have professional footage instead of instagram videos :boring:

its your opinion but remember this was just not about Britney, Iggy had a part to play also. The reviews for Britney's part are great but like i said, some fans might be a tad bit disappointed.

I don't really know what you expect. ... She looked great (much better than at pom) her attitude was awesome(something fans complain all the time and miss from circus) she moved with flow, sexyness and confidence. The little dance we get to see looks good, like in the video. What's the problem? ?? She is not preforming live? She's not aloud to perform outside the ph, she could do it live from there but that way she wouldn't go to event. .. I think that this option was a good one. We saw the performer she was known for. It's not as epic as the snake one? Maybe, but is much better than her performances on TV since gimme more.

The thing about your post is it sounds like you wanted Britney to perform like she did during her prime and since it didn't meet your expectations, you feel like she wants to retire. This the issue i have with fans who think just because Britney isn't performing with a snake or wearing a schoolgirl uniform, she is bored with her work and wants to retire. She had a great time on stage and if the GP noticed it , then she was having the time of her life. Again, it's your opinion, but it's not a fact.

Yea I suppose, sorry ;/

I don't know why you feel that way because in my opinion she's finally happy with both her personal and artistic life. She found a good balance and as long as she can enjoy her children and her family she will keep making music and performing because despite what many people think it's what she loves to do!

Yea I just wantedd more opinions, sorry ;/

so the #bbma taught us... that britney still got it:

  • her face game was on point.
  • her energy was on point.
  • her dancing was on point.
  • her body was on point.
  • her attitude was on point.
  • even her outfit, shoes, wig, etc were on point.

It's not even that honestly, i don't care about Iggy and the performance (besides shitty editing) is fine but it just didn't feel like a "real" performance to me, if anything it felt like a 1 performance sneak-peek for the dvd of her show but definitely not an award performance. I don't even know how to explain but that's pretty much what bothers me.

Well it stole the show that's for sure. That's what's everyone talking about today. Look at all the amazing reviews!

Ehh. First off this song is not as big of a moment as 'Slave' or 'Baby One More Time'. She's more of a veteran performer now and she has less to prove. She's not trying to shock the world with this one like she was with those other performances. Her mark has been made and she's just doing her thing now. This performance seems to have been done to show everyone who is not obsessed with her that she didn't roll up and die on that Vegas stage and that she's still able to perform well.

Who knows maybe Pretty Girls will lead to a bigger collaboration that will be more impactful, maybe this song and performance will put her on the map of some industry people who were ready to write her off as a hasbeen which could lead her to have a song on the lines of her past major hits.

I'm happy it's being well received by the critics and the GP and this will probably not be her only award show performance in the next coming years because she seems to be gearing up for a new album after POM ends, so maybe its just a preview. Negative opinions are all well and good but her fans on these boards really need to ease up on her and their expectations need to be more grounded in what the reality of this is. She's not 22 anymore, she's not thirsty for headlines like her contemporaries, and she's just having fun so let her without judging her so harshly. Remember it could be much worse.
