That line is degrading and unfortunately Beyonce, the so-called "feminist", gets a pass for saying a lot of questionable lyrics. Since Beyonce is so successful, the black community worships her no matter what. My own mother is a stan.

But yeah, things are really tense right now for African-American people. On the internet, the defensiveness is intensified. And then there's the fact that Beyonce is seen as Miss Perfect. I can't stand how she is held up on a pedestal. Her fans need to realize that someone who dislikes her is not always racist or sexist, but probably tired of her over-hyped mediocrity.

Luckily I have seen that the GP has started to come around and see that she's overhyped by her fans and the media, and other fanbases have started to think that too, so that pretty much means this buzz around her is starting to fall and it'll keep going downhill from here. She's only had "things" throughout her career, rather than being a dominant player her entire career. It's like a rollercoster. This was one of them highs for her. It'll end, hopefully sooner than later.

It's because her fans feel threatened by Britney, because they know at any point Britney could release something that would overshadow Beyonce in a heartbeat if she wanted to, so any time Britney does something they come back to drag the hell out of her in order to make Beyonce look superior. The B-Army just fights back at them because obviously when someone comes for your idol, what are you gonna do?

This is a prime example. Before the Feelin' Myself video was released, I saw nobody in our fanbase comparing them at all. We were all just having fun and enjoying the video and BBMA performance. As soon as the Feelin' Myself video is released, suddenly there's "Me vs. You" all over Tumblr and they're unnecessarily reaching for desperate strings to drag the hell out of Britney. 

I honestly feel embarrassed for them, because if you look at Beyonce's numbers, she's definitely not what her fans make her out to be, that's for sure. I think finally the public is seeing through that (look at these BuzzFeed comments for example), and they feel the need to drag something that was supposed to be silly and not taken seriously at all that Britney did just for fun. It's embarrassing, but they can do it some more because it just makes Beyonce look bad. Idc.

I lost it on some fans on the Pretty Girls music video on Youtube in the comments yesterday too. It's okay. I don't like her for these reasons either. Faking her pregnancy, all that stuff.  She's an attention whore and the majority of her fans are sad. I just don't like how they have to drag Britney. L'oreal is makeup and hair products. Why would black people not use L'oreal? She promoted the makeup, this is great promo and if black people didn't use it they would use it now. 

 

All you have to do is google beyonce charity, she's done a lot for not only her people but others as well. She also spoke up about the Ferguson incident. I don't see how Britney does anymore charity work than Beyonce. I found this also she has donated lots of money.

There's been scandals about it and of course they hid it. It's pathetic. Even if it's not trying to look white lightening your skin insulting to yourself first and then the race. Editing your skin to look lighter to sell beauty as a black woman is really bad. How can you defend that? Little things like that keep race an issue in this society.

Like I said before, if they didn't use it, it's a great way to get people to START using it. Also you have not been to every black females house in the world, that's the silliest thing I've ever heard. Your experience can't generalize billions of people.

 

She didn't actually just attach her name to it, she supported it which means she probably donated and participated in volunteering, etc. Also she performed for a lot of those so I'm pretty sure that raised tons of money. I'm not going to post a bunch of links to where it says what she did for them. 

 

How did she edit her skin to look lighter to sell the beauty product???? She looks tanner depending on the lighting, the season probably, maybe some days she wants a tan some days she doesn't. She did not lighten her skin. It's only makeup, and tanning is way more unhealthy than makeup

Oh please, most black women don't use it, I can turn it around and say that you haven't been to all of their house their house either so... 

 

Throwing money at something is not the same as supporting AT ALL. 

 

The promotional pictures would be edited, using certain pics to validate you argument isn't really the best way of proving your point as you can search for whatever to validate you argumeny
