Oops for sure! Vocalney was there, Iconic Performanceney was slayin it, the album destroyed and is a fantastic pop record, she was everywhere, she gave the BEST PRESS CONFERENCE OF HA LIFE ("Oh Lordy" :lmaolol:), she looked amazing, and she was super invested in her project!

Honorable mentions ITZ (minus toxic (no pun intended) relationship and knee injury) and Blackout (for a live big show performance (minus the enormous awfulness that ensued), the amazing musical output and energy & attitude (minus the self-destructive meltdown bits) and the intimate small-venue dirty lil tour that was the M+Ms Tour, minus the 15 minute runtime).

idk why the love to Circus tho. If you're lookin for chart success, go for FF era. If you're looking for hit or miss attitude (because lbr, TCS:BS was pretty hit or miss back in the day, some dates being fire and others being her hauling her disinterested ass through a overpowering and overwrought spectacle), then go for POMney. Never in her life was she more controlled, confined, corralled and cajoled then the Circus era tbh :tea: we've just mythologized and glossed over the scars as a fanbase :tea2:

omg I agree with the Oops answer SO much!

ITZ is another good one. :)

But I gotta disagree about the Circus era. Although I dislike the Circus tour (besides outfits and production), the album was INCREDIBLE and Britney had lots of input imo. Plus, she was really honest about her struggles in FTR. <3 and the album sold a lot. :)

FF was a great tour imo (besides some dancing), and the album was great and successful on the charts. But Britney DID seem kinda dead at the time. :mhm:

Circus Tour had better attitude while FFT had better dancing

I just love the Circus era! She was controlled, but I still feel like she had a lot of creative control and fun!! :sipstea:

Circus. The promo was great, she looked great, she was fierce, the music videos were amazing, the lyrics to the song circus were so in your face, she was mature, strong and empowering, sexy but classy, the music was great, the tour was great, the outfits were great, and she won tons of awards :bomt:

Oops and Britney are the eras in which everything was pretty much perfect. ITZ is a close third in that regard.

I feel like ITZ was the era when everyone start to hate her... and she was suffocated, everything ends in a big dramma with originall doll canceled (her attemp of rebelion), she hurting her knee, canceled the tour, kevin federline.. everything was like downhill at the time...

And shw wasnt that happy with the album like everyone thinks, she want something more urban like her solo project with original doll, but her team want more pop on it.. :lips1:

On the basis of her career, everything during In The Zone was stellar. Videos, promotion, tour, album quality (even if the tracklist wasn't totally what Brit wanted( etc. And Britney seems to look back on the album positively. I don't think her personal issues are to be taken into account in this thread.

Oops because it's the era when she proved she was more than just "One Hit Wonder", she was sweet yet daring, her first worldwide tour being just 18 years old, and she graced us with both live vocals and dancing :) Not to mention her stunning appearances and photoshoots

Oops era is so underrated

i wasn't too sold on Circus as an album tbh I've never liked her "grab bag" albums like Circus/Britney/BJ (i.e.: albums that are kinda just your regular assortment of pop songs, rather than a cohesive album experience like OIDIA/ITZ/BO/FF). and while I LOVE FTR, the issues she's talking about in it are Circus era problems, not Blackout era ones, which kinda makes me resent the Circus era a little bit tbh :eekk: I also don't see a lot of her input in the record. I especially despise the vocal production on Circus; it's incredibly bland and over-glossed, which I'm pretty sure is to cover a huge lack of interest on her part; honestly, I think This Kiss was an attempt to see if they could artificially give her a convincing vibrato, and when they saw the results, they turned around and drowned her vocals in a sea of smoothing effects. It was just incredibly disappointing to go from the tastefully-stylized and intricate interplay of raw and treated vocals on Blackout to what I'd consider a lazy job on Circus.

HOWEVER: credit where credit is due: TCS:BS was a spectacle, she had great singles for the era with (mostly) amazing music videos, and indeed, when she felt like it, her attitude was through the roof. Also, how can we forget her bangin tight body! I also know tons of stans became stans during this period, so it's a lil nostalgic for them too :)

Its a 4 way tie between Oops, Britney, ITZ, and Circus.

My first era I remember like it was yesterday is the Circus era. I had a calender counting down to the release date of the album and I checked her website daily to get info on the tour and when a new single was coming out. I checked on that stuff more than I do now and I was only 9. So I feel like I'd choose this for nostalgic reasons.

I want to pick the other three because I want to experience those three eras and actually remember them in five years. I only remember I wore out my ITZ CD after like a month of having it and we had to get a new one and I think I watched the ABC special after we moved. I hate that I don't remember this stuff cause I was a small human at the time.

oops because she became such an icon like within a year and she was everywhere and it was so exciting because i thought she was so pretty, such a good dancer/singer and i just idolized her (i still do but my kid self lmao)  :crying1:

"Oops!" era.  MTV pretty much dedicated their channel to all things Britney in addition to her already being everywhere else.  Plus it gave us this (her best -- IMO) performance.  I watch this and no other teen/young artist, before or after her, can touch this.  That final breakdown is still the sexiest thing she's ever done on stage for me.   :thirsty:

:slay: I know every hip wiggle, bend, and arm placement.  Her extensions and hairography (and that body!) in this performance alone makes it one of her best.  Yeah, this number solidified the Madonna & Janet Jackson comparisons and why she is considered their love-child. Truly dynamic and put her on a whole other level amongst her TRL pop peers.  :fliph:

Momney is at her finest now. Algebra classes have become her priority. :mhm:

She's gonna write a math book. Coming for that The New York Times #1 Best Seller tbh. :crying2:

Britney. That era was amazing, everything was great, the album, promo, interviews, photoshoot, crossroads!!, her personality, the tour. Everything.

Oops is close too.

I also could have say ITZ but i honestly didn't really like her attitude, sometimes she seemed fake, idk. And i don't like the OHT either.
