i kno i was really surprised with pretty girls cuz i thought it would be wayy more mature than that. tom's diner was better and bj album too but still had too much of a ff album vibe. i disliked the fact that ff had this girly thing to it, i was hoping that would end but with pretty girls it wasn't really any better... i think pg is my least favorite britney song... maybe it needs time to grow on me but lately she hasn't been satisfying me musically-wise. i am sure new music won't dissapoint tho and this song could of been a one time thing but i dont think the GP got hooked on it either. that's why it never made into number 1 on itunes..i really hope new material will be more ITZ like u said and more emotional and beautiful, less processed, more serious type of songs.

A song like "Passenger" would be a good followup to "Pretty Girls" and a general direction I wouldn't mind her music taking.   There's a double meaning, it's a little bit more mature, and vocally (let's pretend that's not Myah Marie on lead ) it's one of her better vocal performances that audiences would like.   She sings with confection and emotes perfectly on the track.

I think with Britney Jean they went in a more mature direction, but the songs just did not resonate.  Some themes were mature dealing with themes like a cheating ex, feeling alone in the world, a breakup, God, and spirituality.  This album reflected Britney the person more than people would probably credit.

I def agree to an extent.  Britney Jean's strong point is that it's different from any of her pervious efforts because the songs don't revolve around her being an untouchable sex symbol (at The Club), so it's more relatable.  Though the themes are more mature the material is very subpar, incomplete, and features very suspicious lead vocals from her soundalike backup singer on the majority of the tracks.  I can appreciate the album for what it was trying to be, but in actuality that album wasn't ready for mass consumption.  The production and vocals on "Pretty Girls" alone makes everything on BJ sound really bad & dated.

Yeah I want her to do amazing and unique things as she used to, not mainstream pop...

I want something dark and edgy, sweet dreams interlude visuals with hard electronic and dark sounds as in blackout/originall doll

Or maybe she can do something unique that can shut up everyone, but she has to do songs that feel unique not PG´s case :sipstea:

I just think she needs to choose a different producer that really suits her and knows what kind of person Brit is. He has to have in mind he's making an album for Britney not any other popstar and she has to make sure that the producer really gets her. That's so important!! Just look at Giorgio for a moment and what he did with Tom's Diner. It was amazing! With a right producer magic happens!! ;)

There's a musician called Plan B here in the UK, who did an album a few years ago where it was a story, with each song telling the next stage of it, so when you listened to it the whole way through you found out everything about this character he'd created. Ever since I heard it, I could imagine Britney, when she was ready, doing that. She'd open with something like PG, and it get darker and more BO-y and eventually Everyday-style and then something like Unbroken to finish. Almost like the MV for HIAM spread out over an album. (Also, that would stop the track listing issues - e.g. 'we interrupt our programme of dance music' after out from under, no amazing bonuses added as an afterthought).

It would allow her to cover as many genres and styles lyrically as she wanted to.

I think her breakdown needs to stop being almost this taboo-like subject, when she could be saying, 'look, this happened, we all know it happened, but here's how I got to where I am now'. There's been times in the past where I could have done with a whole album of Everydays, because she has so much more to tell me than Katy Perry or Rihanna or Taylor Swift do, and she hasn't told me it yet. But then, maybe she doesn't want to share everything with the world, I guess.

Also, call me crazy, but I'm still waiting for a clear the air collab with Justin.

What an amazing idea!!! It's seriously the best concept I have ever heard although it sounds kinda like a review of her career and many people would assume that she wants to retire afterwards. Then again the same thing they assumed for the  Piece of me show but she still makes music...
