So, I've been a huge stan since early 2011, and recently I've seen several people post about a Crossrounds soundtrack that was never made? :o

I never knew this... I feel like such a :flop:! :embarrassed:

And apparently the material that they finished was dumped onto the Britney album, like Cinderella? I guess it makes sense with the lyrics and all.

Maybe this explains why part of the Britney album is kiddie and fun while the other half is mature and sexy... and the overall album is super uncohesive. :tea2: (not meaning to shade the Britney album) ;)

Can someone please clear this up for me? What's the real story on this supposed "Crossroads Soundtrack?" :oohbaby:

from what I remember, I'm not a girl, Anticipating, Bombastic Love, Cinderella were for the soundtrack but they scrapped that idea and just decided to put random songs and awful remixes on the soundtrack and add those songs to the album scraping songs like When I say so

Weren't I Love Rock n Roll and Overprotected meant to be for the soundtrack as well?

Before the goodbye and I run away were supposed to be on britney. Before the goodbye was a front runner for lead single. Slave 4 u was a Janet Jackson reject. Imagine how tacky it would have been for her to sing that song.

Bit more about it -

From the sounds of it, Jive were just being controlling dicks to her, I presume because they wanted to keep her innocent image which was selling well and not offending anyone while she was wanting to do stuff like the DLMBTLTK video and Slave and stuff like that. This was around the time they made her do the non-remix Overprotected video she hated as well.

i am happy with how the britney cd turned out.. i would of loved both of those albums but i can see how this would of irritated britney to not be able to do exactly which songs she wanted . i never knew they changed the plans so much until this year. britney album has always been my favorite. i always thought she loved it as well cuz she always said how personal it was. but i guess even back than, her team was a complete ass towards her :icanttt: wtf is wrong with them- why can't they just give the artist the freedom? she could of basically played the role of a producer/ manager. she's been in the buisness so long, wtf is wrong with them not giving her rights??  :uhwtf:  :thefuck:
