With Britney it is all about marketing like my earlier post calling her a " cash cow " her team knows Britney still has a die hard fan base and they are going to use that until sales DRASTICALLY DROP and I mean everything music, perfumes, fashion lines etc. Aslong as Britney has a dedicated fanbase it'll be the same. We all know Britney doesnt put her career first anymore and that is completely understandable so we should just know what to expect. Some of you wont like it, but no ones forcing you to like Britney, we all want that epic "" come back "" era/performance, brilliant dancing etc but its unrealistic, if she never had kids then sure.. may be we would still have the 2003ney, like even she admits a lot that she isnt made for this industry anymore shes been through hell.

it sold like 300k in US and maybe 100k in rest of the world, its a fucking flop hahahah

I wouldn't call her lingerie line "successful" especially bcz we don't have any official sales numbers.

And since you've missed everything I've said lets put it this way every project that she has put out music wise has flopped 2013- (and on top of everything all of those projects were pretty awfull)

Fft had huge deceline compared to circus tour, ffs my date was 40% sold out :orangu: ,pom is starting to deceline too (each leg more and more).

I did not call her a complete flop, but if she continues to thread her fans and music/pop star career this way,she will join xtina soon :)

And even critics have labeled bj as a career damaging flop :orangu:

Everything you're calling a flop is a matter of opinion, and that's what you aren't seeming to understand. Just because you've labeled it a flop doesn't mean it actually is :yakno:

Please show me the receipts of credible critics calling Britney Jean a "career damaging flop" :frenchy:

:crying1: Glad someone else has noticed, no one seems to mention this.

I honestly can't wait for pom to start selling real bad because then she'll be forced to end this whole rich people privilege shes doing,im sick of it.

The pop world has been reinvented.
A big part of the GP got tired of cheesy & meaningless songs by manufactured pop stars.
If Britney wants to stay in the game she have to reinvent herself.
Get a new record deal and be managed by a smarter and younger team.
Work with fresh producers, experiment with new sounds, be involved in the productions, write a little, more natural voice...
She could be on the top again if she wanted but "she's a mom now"  :tea2:

Honestly, if Britney worked with Max Martin again he would make a hit. Easily. He produced most of Britney's biggest hits and a large portion of other hits this past decade-decade and a half. Britney needs to pick an innovative single, get him to produce it, and promote it a bit (she doesn't have to get on every TV show, but a few awards show performances + Jimmy Fallon and Ellen would even do) and it would be a hit.

And she's still successful even if she isn't on the top of every chart. Some of you seem to believe it's number one or nothing and that's not the case. Especially for an artist like Britney.

People seem to forget this. Slave peaked at #27, Pretty Girls is currently sitting not far from there. Does that mean the Slave flopped? No. People are still talking about the song almost a decade and a half later and it's one of the most iconic pop songs out there. Charts don't mean everything.

"Pretty Girls" will continue to be a bop for me, but it is disappointing that pop radio never gave it a real chance to grow. It was tailor-made to be a summer smash, buzz single, on radio.   Even though Rihanna is "flopping" (by her standards) her singles are in regular rotation and this is with material that has been her most lackluster to date.  Then there's Nicki Minaj's "The Night is Still Young" receiving really solid airplay despite being one of the most basic songs out right now.   The problem is pop radio being very selective when it comes to female driven songs, if they're "too girly/gay" it won't be played.  Meanwhile shit like "Trap Queen" will be played on every other radio station because its "gender-neutral."   :icant:

I don't like Taylor but she's having great sales because her music is actually great and she's moving her ass to have these sales, that's it. She's not like Britney doing nothing waiting for money to grow on trees.

:whodat:

Sis, let's not.  Taylor Swift is doing great right now because she is the IT girl and having her moment in a major way.  (Very much like Britney was circa 1999-2004.  She worked her ass off during those years, so comparing the two currently makes no sense.)  Her music isn't great it's very inoffensive, very ubiquitous, predictable pop tunes.  She works with Max Martin yet acts like her shit is out of left field.

actually IA with u. i think the songs lately have been too sex driven...and it's been going on for years now. and personally i prefer listening about stolen kisses than an actual thing  :o

:orangu: at 'bleach' tho

I think it's time for many of us just to accept that we're now old farts and we no longer run this shit. A new generation has taken over in the past few years and most of the artists we stan for just don't cater to them.

Her sucess is declining each day,fft and pom, lack of high endorsementdeals etc. are biggest proofs.

And it has nothing to do with no.1.

Its simple as this Britney has disconnected herself from gp and ppl who loved her (but weren't stans),she already has 1 awful and flop era under her belt and it seems b9 era will flop too. Its awfully hard to find a success after one let alone 2 flop eras best examples Gwen, fergie,Christina,Avril etc.

So no success isn't everything but it is important (also more she flops less money for new projects= bad music and mv videos etc.)

I agree with you, i don't get how people can't/don't realise Britney is declining. I mean, even the exploitation of BJ was scrapped. If it wasn't a flop as some other said, it wouldn't have been scrapped, even her fucking label realized it would have been wasted money to continue the exploitation for God's sake, if that isn't a sign alert then i don't know what it is.

If it continues like that we won't even have more than 2 singles for future albums, or maybe even just 1 with a video, the rest won't have anything, or it will be very low budget. It's terrible. She's almost at the same point as Xtina now, the only thing that brings her money is Vegas, like Xtina is The Voice, and they are under the same label so be prepared for the same treatment, and it already started with BJ.

I'm sorry but she's far from being successful today, the only small "success" she can have nowadays is thanks to her legacy (but it's being tarnished day after day now so it won't last long ,you can already see the most obvious result by the radios who won't want to play her anymore and GP that is giving up on her), and what's left of her fanbase (fanbase that seems to be reduced each new era). She's just the shadow of herself now.

Britney has indeed been declining and it's a natural process in my opinion.

She appeared in 1998 and had been declining in sales and impact until 2004 when she took a HUGE break...

Britney sold herself again in 2008 playing the comeback card and again started declining until today...

The same happens with every single artist...

If she wants to sell herself again and have a good run with 4 more albums she needs to do something innovative, something that will make her appear as a brand new product in the public.

Don't expect miracles, that's exactly how it works...

I think everyone needs to calm down. PG has only been on BB for 3 weeks. Give it some time and support it.

Also that article is crap. It sounds like it was written by a 12yr old and the site is about as journalistically reputable as a big old bag of Cheetos!  :nowaygif:

That being said I'm really disappointed with ALL Ri Ri's new music. :umomg:  It's all awful! :crying1:  I need better from her!  :mhm:

The reason why Taylor, Ariana, & Katy is on top of the world right now is because they make music that everyone including children can listen to

When u make music thats just for Adults it has its limits

Britney made music that everyone could listen to even for the kids BOMT/ Oops (thats why she sold 30 mill)

Once Britney shed her good girl image sales were still good but definitely went down

not rly. it's cuz they're having their famous moment. people always want a fresh new artist to listen to. they will be forgotten soon enough..

but PG was an awesome song and music video. it was catchy, very summer-like, that would appeal to the GP and she danced like in 2003. i mean she looked soooooo good! it has been a while since she did a video like that. her confidence was on point. it was better than in Work bitch tbh

that's because the majority of fanbases are made up of children.. u r actually right. thanks for letting me know.. it's probably people who haven't lost their virginity yet or something.. no wonder musicians nowadays are so annoying.. they r liked by people wayy younger than me! that actually explains things..
