Im honestly thinking Britney Jean was for Vegas ! Mariah is literally doing the same thing as Britney!!!

Ellen, Vegas Mag, Album before residency, & now promoting her venue in her new video ! & Mariah already confirmed her album has to do with Vegas ..

I don't believe it was for Vegas especially, PH has nothing to do with her musical career they aren't her label so they can't tell her to release an album for her residency lol. Tho i do believe since she was working on an album they agree to make sure it would come around the same time, they definitely release it because her residency was about to start so it would give more attention (well kinda, since almost nobody knows it exists ) and she would have a few new material to perform.

No one is saying that PH told her to release the album lol... but it's very obvious that the album was completed and released when it was to PROMOTE Vegas. There was no promo that was for the album alone, everything she did was tied-in to Vegas. The album was released at that time to create buzz and give her new music for the show without having to do a full promotional push.

I don't think it was originally planned that way, but time got the best of them and instead of either waiting to release Britney Jean or waiting to start her residency, they combined them and used the album to coincide with the residency

well yea it was but it's still britney an dher own career. i think it had a lot of influence on the years she is in vegas but she is still open to doing other things.
