S&S hit because the song was universal, catchy, and the video premiered on X Factor. It wasn't because Will did promo nor was well liked. Xfactor was getting around 8.5 million views in the US but it played World wide and the show was getting a lot of press. The BBMA got 10 million views but there was a lot of music getting promo and Bad Blood got the show Bump.

What Iggy said wasn't a lie, Britney can't sell singles on just her name alone anymore in '15, promo is key. She is someone that loves to promote her singles and in this case she can't when the lead performer doesn't care to.   Lack of promo aside tho, there were many factors that contributed to the song's underwhelming chart performance: the song itself having a very mixed reception from fans, pop radio ignoring the song altogether, and Iggy being damn near universally hated (Britney to a certain extent as well).  So "Pretty Girls" was facing an uphill battle right when Britney wanted to do this song with Iggy in the first place.  However it has managed to become a moderate hit with views on VEVO that continue to impress.

This is something that is largely forgotten.  "Scream & Shout" benefited so much from that ad it stabilized on iTunes top 5/10 for weeks, if not months, after its soft initial release.

I have always felt that igloo got treated like crap for no reason but now...bye Felicia! Like we are all supposed to forget when the single cover was taken down because it said feat...but now that it's not as popular had expected she is basically saying that it's not her fault...NO IGLOO NO! The Britney army supported her when every other Pop music fan was ripping her to shreds and then she basically comes out and says its Britney's fault... she really needs to know when to just shut up!

That has nothing to do with Iggy. She didn't design the cover. When it was taken down everyone jumped to some false assumption that Igloo had anything to do with it, which is ridiculous. Y'all are just always looking for a reason to bitch. All she said here was that it's not her song, and she had no control over promo - WHICH IS TRUE. Where's the lie? Where's the shade? Britney didn't want to promote, Iggy is simply acknowledging the obvious: the song flopped because it was not promoted.

I support Britney more than most people here do, but being a supporter doesn't mean attacking everyone aside from Britney. Igloo was a big reason the single failed, because the GP has turned on her... but Britney also chose to do no promo, while Iggy was eager too.

 

It's not supporting Britney to attack someone who she chose to work with and only has good things to say about. Igloo did not shade Britney anywhere, all she ever does is praise her. She stated facts: she had no control over promo.

I can see how I seemed to be attacking iggy. I just feel like maybe she should have just not said anything at all. She did seem to make a big deal about it being a duet and then said it was a feat. Which in my opinion seemed like a shade a Brit or her team. Both parties were at fault partially for the failed PG even tho I personally don't consider it a flop. I honestly lived for it because Britney really seemed to enjoy the song. Once again I do apologize for being bitchy when I felt attacked and I can see what you are saying.
