- The album originall name was "Shock your mind" but Britney decided to use her name to be reflected more in the market where she was known by many.

- Both Bombastic Love as Cinderella were not wanted by Britney in her album, because she didn't considered them mature enough for her. But Jive insisted on the inclusion of the 2 songs, the second time Britney had a confrontation with producer Max Martin via text.

- In 2001 Britney would had two musical productions, their third album and a project specially designed for her movie "Crossroads". In the end, the label Jive Records decided to merge both productions to leave the album "Britney", many of his songs were originally recorded for the film pop princess.

 - Anticipating was released as a promotional single  instead of I Love Rock'N'Roll in France and to some extent in Taiwan, as in the Toyota commercial, Britney appeared with this song enjoying it. In Brazil it was released after I Love Rock'N'Roll.

- I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet A Woman was released as the second single in U.S. unlike Europe, where it was the third single. All these were business decisions related to the movie "Crossroads" which was to be released in America. The video was completed in U.S. with film images.

- Before The Goodbye had been planned as the first single from this record production but in the end we all know the outcome of this election running as a bonus song.

- Overprotected was originally recorded for "Oops ... I Did It Again".

- Boys had not been chosen as a promotional single, this changed when I was chosen as part of the soundtrack of the film "Austin Powers in Gold Member"and it was remixed to be more club friendly and more poular to the audience

- That's Where You Take Me, simple physical limited edition, is the most expensive and rare of all the discography of this album, have been only very few copies of this gem (in its original version this clear). This was only the seventh official single for Philippines

i dont think this is true. i cant picture them putting a song with a curse word in it on the oops album. she was still half-going along with the more innocent look that era

The songs she did with BT were so ahead of their time, so good still.

Glad "Overprotected" was saved for Britney instead, didn't know it was for "Oops."
