I don't get the radio ban thing... Can some1 explain that to me?

I loved MATM at the very first second I heard it. It is like essence of ITZ for me  ;)

Apparently Clear Channel wanted to sponsor her DWAD tour, but she went with someone else. Clear Channel owns tons of radio stations, so since they were so pressed they blacklisted her on the radio.

Imagine how many more singles would be considered iconic if this never happened. :crying1:

As far as I hate it now, I remember back then this was my fave song. It took a month for me to mesmerized the rap part lyrics tbh.

I know! They suck. That's so childish to ban someone from the radio just because they went with someone else as a sponsor. :icant:

i bet if some star did this nowadays, it wont b allowed but britney had to put up with it  :icant:

I remember during the time - newspaper comments were Madonna trying to boost her fame on Britney - and it would have been better without her.. But this was during Madonna's American life stage - the anything Madonna touches turns to old..

I think it was iconic and I was happy Madonna was on it..

Madonna gained her fame back with confessions - but AL was a dry patch..

I think the song deserves more recognition than it got.. Toxic overshaddowed it tbh as did everytime... Forgotten gem..

Toxic overshadowed everything from In The Zone era tbh

I don't agree with this. Everytime is considered one of her most popular songs, and the video was very controversial when it was first released and is also considered to be one of her most mature. I just think that, overall, Me Against The Music was a very underwhelming first single. I mean, It was a duet between Britney Spears and fucking Madonna. People were expecting a pop masterpiece. And while what we got wasn't bad by any means, it certainly isn't amazing either.

But still, Toxic slays.
