It’s spotlight time on a flawless Britney Army member, Amanda Eck!

1) What started you to love Britney Spears? 

I was 5 years old, and was going trough a really tough time for such a young child. My mother had just left my father and I the summer before Baby One More Time came out. From that trauma, my father thought it would be a good idea for me to have a woman to look up to (and he thought it would be a way for me to find myself through music since all I knew was his hairbands.) I remember watching Genie In A Bottle & Baby One More Time and my dad  was like “pick one” and he bought me her album, dolls, hitclips etc. I really do appreciate him doing that because she has been the woman figure I didn’t know I needed many times.

2) What was your first Britney Spears concert? 

Baby One More Time

 

3) What is your favorite Britney Spears concert? 

Ooof, these are some difficult questions!! All of them have their own doe oak aspects that make them wonderful and unique but my favorite is….Circus… wait Onyx Hotel… I cant choose!

4) What is your favorite Britney Spears perfume? 

I have a Top 3: Maui Fantasy, Private Show and Fantasy In Bloom

 

5) What is your favorite Britney Spearssong? 

Breathe On Me

6) What is your favorite unreleased Britney Spears song? 

In my opinion, some of her unreleased work is her best. Again, I have a top 3 because I can’t pick one favorite

 8) Have you ever met Britney before, if so explain what you said to her!

I have & it was such a blur! I was so anxious and didn’t want to make her nervous. I first asked her how her night was going. I had went to the Friday night show already and met her Saturday. She had a boot mishap the Friday show so I told her she was such a pro and handled it so well. I then asked her if we could do a special pose showing our tattoos off.  I told her I got the lip tattoo because of when she got hers and that it was a reminder to me to never give up. She grabbed my arm and rubbed her finger over it and said “that’s so beautiful”. We had or picture and I asked for a hug. She said “well of course, sweetie”. The best experience. It was my number one dream in life. I’m sure there was more but like I said, it was so surreal that it was a blur.

9) What do you admire about Britney?

I struggle with every anxiety so her strength inspires me so much. She never gives up and she works really hard. We all know she’s had tough times like the rest of us but how she picked herself up and still remains humble, happy and non-judgmental is admirable. Now, seeing her as a mom and how wonderful she is, makes me so proud as well since that’s something I never had. I just love her.

10) What is your favorite Britney TV moment? 

All of the Pepsi commercials! So you know I’m loving seeing her cut outs and iconic picture on Pepsi cans in 2018!

Tv performances though is a tie between 2000 VMA’s and 2018 Dick Clarke’s New Years Rockin Eve.

Oh! I also loved her as Abby on How I Met Your Mother.

11) Favorite Britney Quote? 

“For me success is a state of mind. I feel like success isn’t about conquering something, it’s being happy with who you are.”

12) Why do you love Britney Spears?

 She’s goofy, humble, giving, loving and a wonderful mom. Her and I have some similar personality traits that makes her so relatable for me and makes me feel normal

I always liked her but the earth shattering moment was seeing her as Lucy in Crossroads. I got teased a lot for my mom leaving and I didn’t know any other girl being raised by a dad so to see her play that exact roll made me feel less like an alien and not alone… see what I did there? 

13) Favorite song off “Glory”? 

Glory is actually my favorite album by Miss. Spears so again this is tough. I seriously love every song, but my favorites are Just Luv Me & Just Like Me.

14) Has Britney  helped or inspired you in your life?

I was an open book with my answers so I’m sure it’s easy to tell that this answer is a BIG YES!

15) Are you seeing Britney’s “Piece Of Me” tour? 

No still tying to net tickets to Grand Prix though!

16)  Favorite memory Britney has done in her career that you loved?

Any time that she took a chance! Like Crossroads, XFactor, Slave 4 U VMA performance and of course the Las Vegas residency.

17) Anything you would want to tell Britney if she was reading this? 

Thank you for being you. I’m sure there were times where you wanted to quit but thank you for not doing that. You constantly remind me of my strength when I can’t seem to find it on my own and you never fail to make me happy with your music. You’re my escape and I’m so thankful for your talent.
