Read the full interview below: How did you become a Britney stan? I remember this clear as day. I was 9 years old and was home sick from school. I was watching MTV because my parents were pretty cool and let me watch MTV at that age. The Baby One More Time video came on and I instantly popped up from the couch and was like “WHO IS SHE??” From there, I begged my mom to buy me the CD when she got home from work and two days later she came home with the single for me. I was hooked. I don’t even know how many times I played BOMT and the other song on the single, Autumn Goodbye. I was absolutely obsessed. What is your favorite Britney music video? Stronger. I love the simplicity of the black background and her dancing with the chair for most of it. It is absolute perfection. What songs would you have liked as singles from previous albums? (I have a lot) Lonely Unusual You Don’t Go Knockin on My Door Thinkin about You What was the first Britney concert you’ve attended? Dream Within A Dream Tour 2001 – which was also my FAVORITE concert I’ve ever been to. What are your favorite Britney songs ever? Stronger Overprotected What’s your favorite Unreleased track? This one is so hard because there are so many but I have to say Love is A State of Grace What is your Favorite Photoshoot? Favorite Magazine? One of my favorite photoshoots is OUT magazine. What’s your favorite Magazine Cover? Her first Rolling Stone cover with the pink background and the purple telletubby Have you ever met Britney before? Yes! I met her in 2016 at the POM Residency. It was amazing. I was with one of my favorite people, Jasmine, who had met Britney before and she helped calm my nerves because I was sooooo nervous! I walked up to Britney and said “Hi, I’m Timmy” and shook her hand and she shook mine and said “so nice to meet you, I really like your bowtie.” And she put her arm around me and pulled me in for the picture. It was short but also one of the most magical experiences I’ve ever had. Favorite Britney Quote? “I choose to be a happy person. I choose not to be a bitter person and if I have a bad day, I get really angry with myself and I flip it and tell myself I’m gonna have a good day, I’m gonna be strong, I will be strong and that’s how I choose to be.” What’s your favorite and most enjoyable Britney TV Moment? There are so many iconic moments Britney has had on TV, but my all time favorite appearance she has done was her Will & Grace episode as Amber Louise. I would love for her to guest star on the new season! Tell us why you love and stan the Queen of Pop Britney Spears? Because she has proven that you can go through life like a Karate Kid. Her confidence is contagious and she helps me be the best version of myself I can be. Have you ever received anything from Britney? Yes! Actually, the day I got home from my Vegas trip where I met here, there was an envelope addressed to me and I opened it and it was a signed photo from her with my name on it! I had sent it a while before this, and it was just amazing to get right after meeting her. What would you like to tell Britney, if she was reading this? THANK YOU! Thank you for being such an inspiration to me and helping me get through not only the bad parts of my life, but the good parts as well! You have taught me how to be fierce and not give a F**k what anyone thinks of me. What is your favorite song off of Britney’s 9th studio album Glory? I would have to say Love Me Down. It has an infectious beat that I cannot get out of my head! Are you going to see #PieceOfMe on tour? Sadly no, she is not coming anywhere near me and I have been lucky enough to have been able to see the Vegas show multiple times but I’m very happy for the fans that didn’t get that chance in Vegas to see her on tour! Has Britney inspired you or helped you in your life? YES!!!! Just days after she released Circus, I came out to my friends and family that I was gay. What gave me the spark to do it when I did was Britney’s comeback to the scene. I saw the confidence she had and I channeled that into my own life to help me get through it. Her music and confidence during this time helped me so much, I can’t even thank her enough. I will forever be a Britney fan and always remember her helping me out during the most difficult times of my life. Are you looking forward to new Britney music and the exciting Pitbull collab “I Feel So Free With You”? Oh of course! I always am excited at the smallest rumor of new music! I cannot wait. The Pitbull collab really excites me because his songs typically have a heavy dance vibe and I think the two of them would make an amazing song together! What’s your favorite iconic Britney moment? I think my favorite iconic moment was the 2000 VMAs performance. My jaw was on the floor the whole time and I was shocked! It was an incredible moment in Pop History that I’ll never forget. If you could choose a song from Femme Fatale, Britney Jean and Glory to be singles, what would they be? Femme Fatale – Up n Down Britney Jean – Tik Tik Boom Glory – Love me Down Anything you would like to add? I recently created a Facebook group with my fellow stan Jasmine called The Britney Zone: A Stronger Britney Community. I have been apart of numerous facebook fan groups that had a lot of negativity in them and I really wanted a safe space for Britney fans to share and socialize with each other without any negativity.
