My life, 13-29. Why Britney is really an icon. (from an old timer) Part 1

If there was any major moment in my life, Britney was there.  If I was happy, there was a Britney song. If I was sad...there was a Britney song....

 

I have stepped off of this site for several months but I used to be quite active.

 

I have to say I am quite sad to see what has happened to this site.  

 

I remember for almost a decade following the threads in this forum...

 

Anyway...

 

I wanted to give my version of Britney Jean Spears.

 

This might be a long read and this might flop.......

 

But here goes.....

 

I have been gay since birth...

 

I remember having crushed on guys in kindergarden, and every other grade...

 

I remember when I turned 13 years old...

 

I was watching TV and this commercial came on.

 

I saw a female that made me...you know......get...aroused?

 

For years it was Sheryl Crow, or Garbage, or Alanis, or Biggie, Mariah, Celine, (ALL awesome music that I love to this day)

 

But one day, I was watching TV...

 

I used to belt out Mariah Carey in my room as a 12 year old......Honey was the song that made me love here...then all of her other hits from before...

 

Backstreet boys, N'sync were great, LFO had a Jam...but...

 

That commercial....

 

It had this insanely popular looking girl, that EVERYONE wanted to be friends with.....

 

She was flipping, dancing, singing....She was at a school that looked like mine...

I was 13....

 

It happened to be close to my Birthday.

 

I got the CD for my birthday and my friends and I dance all night until we passed out.

 

we listened to BOMT over, and over and over and over and over again.

 

She was such a breath of fresh air...

 

She was like...One of those days...when its cloudy and rainy in the morning.....And then all of a sudden...The sun comes out....And its so intense...And it feels so good...

We were all riding high on BOMT when sometime came out....

 

She accused me of being in love with her and she was scared...

 

I was scared too....We both wanted to believe in everything we said....

 

We found out, that we were liked to hide, were scared...
