The Deep Web... did you all know? A bit creepy.

How many of you guys have heard about the Deep Web? 

 

I wanted to add this topic to the Creepy Thread but I believe it deserves its own. I want to know how many of you know about this, and what your experiences have been. I have been hesitating about getting in.

 

I am going to post a couple quotes and sources but I want to summarize what this is. Basically, the internet as we all know it, even when we believe it's an immense world of information, it's only the surface of the real information because there are thousands of pages that are not indexed by normal browsers.. this means, pages that cannot be found in normal searches by Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera. 

 

 

The is some sort of "sub-domain" called .onion where all this pages are stored. The only way to decode and actually navigate these pages is by means of a Browser called TOR. In fact, after further investigation, I've noticed this TOR thing is pretty much similar to Mozilla Firefox. So I'm not pretty sure whether Tor is an add-on for Firefox OR if the creators of the software designed its interface to match that of Firefox. Either case, TOR is the only way to accessing this under-web.

 

What is the creepy part of all this?

 

All sites in TOR sub domains are pretty much fucked up. And I mean, FUCKED UP. Things such as child pornography, murders by hire, gruesome videos of mutilations and torture, access to all sorts of secret groups such as Al Qaeda, ETA, and other terrorist groups that use this underground environment to communicate among themselves without being tracked by anyone. Have you ever heard of snuff pornography, where a girl is fucked and then killed (really executed), to satisfy the most perverted desires of sick bastards? Welcome to the Deep Web. There is a site of medical experimentation where its owners have homeless people who suddenly disappears in the streets and no one gives a shit about them, but via the site you can pay some bitcoins (the currency system used in the Deep Web) to do whatever you want to your victim, from torturing the person in any way you can imagine to experimenting with chemicals, surgeries or anything your fucked up mind wants to see.

 

There have been efforts to shut down the Deep Web, particularly by the FBI, so there are several of these underground pages that have been shutdown. There is a video called "The Destruction Of Daisy" which is a snuff video that depicts a woman that is seen molesting a six years old girl and the molestation gets to the point of aggression and finally brutally hurting her to death. You can look for references of this in the normal internet, although I don't think you will find the actual video. apparently the FBI extracted the video of the Deep Web but chances are someone might still have it and reuploaded. The Deep Web (also called the Deepnet, Dark Web, Invisible Web, Undernet or Hidden Web) is World Wide Web content that is not part of the Surface Web, which is indexed by standard search engines. It should not be confused with the dark Internet, the computers that can no longer be reached via the Internet, or with a Darknet distributed filesharing network, which could be classified as a smaller part of the Deep Web. There is concern that the deep web can be used for serious criminal activity. 

 

Mike Bergman, founder of BrightPlanet and credited with coining the phrase, said that searching on the Internet today can be compared to dragging a net across the surface of the ocean: a great deal may be caught in the net, but there is a wealth of information that is deep and therefore missed. Most of the Web's information is buried far down on dynamically generated sites, and standard search engines do not find it. Traditional search engines cannot "see" or retrieve content in the deep Web—those pages do not exist until they are created dynamically as the result of a specific search. As of 2001, the deep Web was several orders of magnitude larger than the surface Web.

 

Personally, I am very curious about all this... not that I want to torture anyone or hire a hitman hehehe... but it's more a matter of seeing with my own eyes that these things are real and that humanity has finally reached its lowest levels of perversity. Some of the stories about the Deep Web are unbelievably crude and grotesque. You cannot believe that a human being can cause so much pain, suffering and injuries to another human to satisfy the pleasure of someone who is paying for that. That just escapes my imagination. I have fantasized about having sex with a girl that I love, but NEVER in my life have thought of poisoning the girl after I'm done with her or hurting her with a knife to see her bleeding to death so that I can have an orgasm to that. That is REALLY SICK. Well guys, those things do exist. Overwhelmingly sad... but true.

 

The reason I have not yet tried accessing this dark world is because I actually distrust the TOR engine itself. I have read much on this matter and I haven't read anything about users complaining for loss of information on your PC. My standing on the matter is, if TOR has the power to make you absolutely anonymous, what impedes this software to steal the information you have on your own laptop? I access my bank accounts in my laptop, along with all social networking... I am not sure if this engine might steal some of that confidential info.

If you use the proxy needed for the deep web, you're actually able to change your IP address, which basically means they can't find your house due to not using your actual IP

That is super scary   I didn't know about the deep web but I'm not surprised at all that there is.  

I mean, if you think about all the people who randomly disappear, you start thinking where do they go? Most of the time it's human/sex trafficking. Most people are just chained up as sex slaves in brothels, but there must also be a portion who are used for sick websites like the ones you mentioned. That's why people scare me more than ghosts or spirits sometimes. The shit that they're capable of...

You are totally right Dolce. Once a friend of mine said: 'I'm not afraid of monsters, spirits, ghosts or strange sounds in the night. I fear humans, their minds are even worse than those of animals'. Which is absolutely true. An animal kills in self defense or by instinct, but humans kill for pleasure (many times).

 

When I started investigating about these things all I could think of was... how degraded is humanity these days... I can see how low the human condition has fallen. Of course there is a lot of good people in the earth too... but there is a very dark reality that goes on every day and that most of us just ignore...

And the problem is... If you try to kill them off (in my opinion, the best option that is left) you'll be seen as one of them, because of how dumb society nowadays is
