Web Vultures Move Fast on Britney's New Babe

Posted Sep 18th 2006 6:22PM by TMZ Staff
Filed under: Wacky and Weird, Baby Watch, Britney and Kevin

britkev1.jpgHe's not even a week old and barely home from the hospital, but Sutton Pierce Federline, which is reportedly the name of Britney Spears' and Kevin Federline's newest addition, already has a website devoted to him -- or at least his name.

The domain name suttonpiercefederline.com was registered last Wednesday afternoon, just one day after the baby was born in Los Angeles, and several days before the name was widely circulated this weekend. Gossip gangsta PerezHilton.com reported that the name was to be named Sutton Pierce the day after the birth.

So who snapped up the domain with such dispatch? An entertainment company called Mabam! Entertainment registered the site (as well as variants like suttonfederline.com and suttonpiercefederline.net), though it's not entirely clear why -- TMZ's multiple calls to Mabam!, which is based in Studio City, Calif., were not returned. Mabam! was founded and is run by an LA -based writer-director by the name of Maeyen Bassey, and her professional bio and website do not betray any connection with the baby's parents.

The Spears-Federlines clearly didn't follow the lead of recent celebrity-baby parents Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, whose lawyers at high-powered entertainment firm Lavely & Singer registered several permuations of their baby Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt's name on the Internet. For the record, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes also let their baby's name float into the cyber-ether, with the result that suricruise.com is owned by someone named Oren Gold of Goldfinger Productions. That baby's eponymous site had once had a countdown clock to Suri's 18th birthday, but now the address goes nowhere.

K-Fed to Die in 2032

Posted Sep 18th 2006 7:23PM by TMZ Staff
Filed under: Train Wrecks, Music, Britney and Kevin

K-Fed

Kevin Federline will die in 26 years, at least according to Blender magazine.

In the October issue, the music mag estimates when "your favorite pop star" will croak. Taking into account Mr. Britney Spears' age, height, smoking habits, alleged love of alcohol, marijuana and reported body odor, Federline is predicted to walk amongst us until the ripe old age of 55.

While he does get points/years for being a dancer and for not being a "shallow motherf*****", K-Fed loses vital time for abandoning his pregnant girlfriend (Shar Jackson) for Brit. Tsk.Tsk.

Gerontologist Dr. Demko writes in the issue that "Kevin will also need the common sense to ditch the smoking, booze and drugs, which will give him 16 more years to enjoy Britney's money and watch his four (and counting) kids grow up."

While we wouldn't wish death on anyone, K-Fed's music career -- now that's a completely different story. PopoZão!

TMZ Solves Britney Baby Mystery

Posted Oct 24th 2006 1:31PM by TMZ Staff
Filed under: Baby Watch, Britney and Kevin

Jayden Birth certificateTMZ has obtained a copy of the birth certificate for the latest addition to the Spears/Federline family, and now it's official -- it's a boy!

The certificate, filed today at the L.A. County Registrar-Recorder's office, reveals that the boy's name is Jayden James Federline. The certificate is signed by K-Fed himself, although a close inspection reveals that the signature is more like printing. Daddy Fed inked his name on Sept. 13, one day after Jayden was born.

kfed_usa_1024_275.jpgK-Fed has been taking chances since Jayden's birth. In fact, just last night the new daddy mixed it up with John Cena on WWE's "Monday Night RAW," getting his "revenge" on Cena with a little slap but incurring Cena's wrath. Of course, K-Fed avoided any kind of retribution as Johnny Nitro stepped in on his behalf.

Britney GalleryThere was considerable confusion surrounding the birth of Britney's second child. Originally the baby's name was reported as Sutton Pierce Federline. Recent reports also indicated the baby was a girl. Last week, Celebrity Baby Blog had reported that the name was Jayden James, J.J. for short.

So baby Sean Preston has a lil' bro. No, we're not talking about Kevin.
britney5.jpgSo just what did Britney Spears and Kevin Federline name their latest child? It was widely reported that the baby had been named Sutton Pierce Federline, giving him the same initials as his big brother, Sean Preston. But Gatecrasher reports today that the name Sutton Pierce may have just been a red herring, noting that neither Britney nor K-Fed ever confirmed the name to the press. Some people, in fact, have been saying that the baby's name is actually Jayden James. The strongest piece of evidence to support that theory? Kevin's mom calls the baby Jayden.

Scoot Away on Britney's Vespa

Posted Oct 26th 2006 12:27PM by TMZ Staff
Filed under: Life Style, Britney and Kevin, Celebrity Auctions

Britney SpearsIt's been a tough few years for Britney Spears fans. First, she married that K-Fed, who most Brit-fans see as a step down from the carny who runs the Tilt-a-Whirl. As though that weren't enough, there was the baby-dropping, the sad gum-snapping TV confessional, the frequent trips to Taco Bell, and, oh yeah, marrying K-Fed. Now, thankfully, eBay's giving you a chance to let your true blue Britney colors shine proudly.

To start, there's a Vespa scooter with Britney's autograph on it. (Where on earth does our Brit ride a Vespa? Around the house?) The sale of the scooter will benefit the Camp Laurel foundation for children living with AIDS and HIV. In addition to the Vespa, you get a helmet signed not only by Spears but by an astoundingly random assortment of celebs like Neil Patrick Harris and Andy Milonakis.

Maybe you want to show your Britney spirit with something a little bit more low-key and low-emissions. The Britney Spears doll would be a wonderful addition to any doll collection and your children will be more properly raised by early exposure to the glory that is Britney Spears, don't you think?

Britney Peddles K-Fed's CD

Filed under: Music, Wacky and Weird, Britney and Kevin

Kevin Federline & Britney SpearsBritney Spears is throwing some much-needed support behind her husband's upcoming album.

Members of her mailing list -- you know who you are -- received an e-mail from the pop princess hocking Kevin Federline's CD "Playing With Fire," warning it was "your last chance" to pre-order the wannabe rapper's big debut.

In case the word of Britney wasn't enough to motivate the legions of 13-year-old girls to snag a copy of her hubby's album, Federline is also offering an autographed headshot (yes!) to the first 500 orders. The e-mail says that there are "only a few left," though it's hard to believe Kevin actually has anywhere near 500 fans.

Kevin FederlineAlso, cities of Chicago, Cleveland, Atlantic City, Anaheim, San Diego and Los Angeles beware -- K-Fed will be performing in your area soon. His tour kicks off next month.

Britney Spears Files for Divorce

Posted Nov 7th 2006 3:47PM by TMZ Staff
Filed under: Break-Ups, Britney and Kevin

Britney Spears has filed a petition for divorce from Kevin Federline.
K-Fed & Britney --Divorce!!!
TMZ obtained the legal papers, filed today in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing "irreconcilable differences." In her petition, Spears asks for both legal and physical custody of the couple's two children, one-year old Sean Preston and two-month old Jayden James, with Federline getting reasonable visitation rights.

As for money, sources tell TMZ the couple, who married in Oct. 2004, has an iron-clad prenup. Not surprisingly, Spears is waiving her right to spousal support. She's also asking the judge to make each party pay their own attorney's fees.

Spears gives the date of separation as yesterday, the same day she flaunted her incredible revamped physique during a surprise appearance on David Letterman's show. Sources tell TMZ there was no single reason for Britney pulling the plug, rather, it was "a string of events."

laura_wasser_2.jpgSpears has hired powerhouse celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, who has repped a number of celebs, including Angelina Jolie, Nick Lachey and Kiefer Sutherland. We're told Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe asked Wasser to rep both of them in their split, but Wasser declined for personal reasons.

Significantly, Britney lists the date of her marriage as October 6, 2004. There was an uproar around the time of the wedding because the highly publicized "secret" ceremony was held on Sept. 18th, leading many to question the validity of the ceremony. Now the divorce documents indicate that the lavish ceremony was not the official wedding.

Desperate K-Fed Can't Give It Away

Posted Nov 8th 2006 3:15PM by TMZ Staff

In a last ditch effort to salvage his failing rap career, Kevin Federline has slashed the price of admission to his concert tour to a whopping... $0.00. Nope, it's not a typo.
kfed_ticket_getty_391.jpg
Federline, "who comes tight with every rhyme," is giving away tickets to tonight's performance at the House of Blues in Chicago. Why, you ask? Because he had a miserable 20% turnout in New York this past weekend.

Fans (if there are any) can log on to Ticketmaster.com, but it will cost you -- $9.39 in fees and taxes.

Britney: "Take My Baby's Pics, Please!"

Posted Nov 10th 2006 8:40AM by TMZ Staff
Filed under: Britney and Kevin, Let's Get This Party Started

Britney SpearsBritney Spears really doesn't want K-Fed feeding off her anymore, so much so that she's willing to give away the first photos of her baby Jayden James for free – just to avoid having to satisfy little-known clause in the couple's pre-nup guarantees that Fed-Ex will get a portion of any proceeds from selling snaps.

According to Women's Wear Daily's Memo Pad column, the pop princess has decided to offer the pictures free, but not to the usual outlet for her photos, People. Instead, she'd like to follow in TomKat's footsteps and get them into a more highbrow monthly or bimonthly. People, for its part, says it would be "more than happy" to have the snaps.

Meanwhile, according to several ticketing websites, two of K-Fed's gigs, last night in Cleveland and tonight in Atlantic City, have been cancelled. The gigs in Federline's native southern California are still good to go, but they're not scheduled until just before Thanksgiving.

Britney – "It's My Party, and I'll Slack if I Want to"
She spent most of the Thanksgiving holiday away from her kids, and now Britney Spears is slacking off from the studio as well. Though she was working late into the night at Sony Studios earlier this month in New York, Britney has been missing recording sessions of late because of her Paris Hilton-inspired nightcrawling. "The label [Jive Records] is very worried," says a source to Page Six. Britney has been telling pals, apparently, "I gave birth for 2 ½ years, and now I want to party." What's more, the pop tartlet tried to get Christina Aguilera's manager, Irving Azoff, to help create her new album and resurrect her career, but after she only offered him a 5 percent fee, Azoff balked. According to a rep, "[Britney] is not scheduled to record in L.A., and she never went to Irving.

Britney -- Insanity on the Streets

Posted Nov 28th 2006 10:30AM by TMZ Staff
Filed under: Britney and Kevin, Paris Hilton, Star Catcher, Lindsay Lohan

Britney Arrives -- Click to WatchWhen Britney Spears decided to stop by Hyde nightclub in Hollywood last night, it's unlikely she imagined the chaos that awaited her.

As the pop star pulled up her jet black Porsche, a swarm of paparazzi invaded the street, enclosing Spears in a sea of crackling flashes that stopped passing motorists in their tracks. Finally, a musclebound employee from the club started moving people out of the way, but it took Brit a few minutes to fight the crush before finally getting into the club.

Paris & Lohan -- Click to WatchJust as the pandemonium settled, Brit's new BFF Paris Hilton rolled up -- and the madness resumed. As usual, Paris played it off like it was no big deal and chatted on her cell as she cruised inside.

Then, in a move that is sure to send shockwaves through their newly formed alliance, Lindsay Lohan, the third member of the Hollywood's most improbable triad, arrived *gasp* quietly through the back door! Attempting to be incognito, Lindsay crept in with a few friends, successfully avoiding the paparazzi crush.

Britney Makes Up For Lost Time

Posted Nov 23rd 2006 12:05PM by TMZ Staff
Filed under: Break-Ups, Britney and Kevin

Britney Spears: click to launchBritney's back, and the newest bachelorette is popping up (and out) everywhere. It started with her drive-by appearance on Letterman on the night before filing divorce papers. The very next night, she was caught at a New York City Gap store shopping for cotton thong panties and clothes for an evening of ice skating at Rockefeller Center with an old friend ...

That old friend was her former manager, Larry Rudolph, the man who transformed Britney from former Mouseketeer into America's reigning Pop Princess. His relationship with Brit was solid until K-Fed came along. Kevin reportedly had a problem with Larry, and Brit chose Fed over Rudolph. Just one night after she left K-Fed, she reunited with Rudolph; it appears they were in talks before Brit's split.

Now, old television commercials for Britney's fragrances have begun popping up in time for the holidays, and rumors of musical collaborations with the likes of Pharrell, and a surprise appearance at last night's AMAs, are signs that the hard-working Britney Spears is definitely back. One thing she's retained from her K-Fed days; that awful gum-chewing. At least she tucked her gum to one side of her mouth while she presented the AMA to Mary J. Blige. Classy.

Meanwhile, there are rumors of a surprise superstar appearance at Los Angeles radio station 102.7 KIIS FM's annual concert, Jingle Ball. Our guess: It's gonna be Brit.

Britney -- The Plot Thickens

Posted Nov 22nd 2006 1:26PM by TMZ Staff
Filed under: Britney Spears, Celebrity Feuds

She played it cool on stage, but Britney Spears was "pissed" at ABC over a derogatory sketch aimed at her estranged husband, Kevin Federline, during last night's "American Music Awards," a Britney rep tells TMZ.

E!'s Marc Malkin first reported Brit was upset, and now a rep for Brit tells TMZ, "She had no idea" that the skit would immediately precede her appearance. We're told Britney was "incredibly upset" and "inconsolable."

The sketch featured AMA host Jimmy Kimmel sealing a Federline look-a-like in a wooden crate and shipping him out to sea. Kimmel called K-Fed,"the world's first ever no-hit wonder." Less than five minutes later, Kimmel introduced Spears as a surprise presenter.

When contacted, a rep confirms to TMZ the idea for the skit was Kimmel's and he went forward with it because, "I knew they wouldn't mind because I know they both have great senses of humor."
