in the way that it was so bad it was iconic i think it actually it was so bad that it was good.it actually portrayed the vibe of the album blackout, i always took the meaning of the album title blackout to mean when someone blacks out due to drinking alcohol. i almost think that the vma performance needed to seem dysfunctional to get across the vibe of the album.
