kara Posted October 7, 2014 #1 Report Posted October 7, 2014 I figured it would be cool to do reviews of each Britney album since some of us started being fans at different times and for different reasons. We didn't get to experience each album together so I felt it would be cool to get a track by track review of each album from other members(that want to participate).this is all our own opinions so don't get mad at ppl for stating one that's different from yours like many of these bitches do The first featured album is itz Imo it's her most overrated album imo...I don't get why some ppl consider it her best I think she was trying too hard to be Madonna and her vocals were the worst primeney had to offer...the era was great despite the bad press and cancelled tour...her personality seemed fake and she seemed different from slaveney ik it was b/c of justin....anywho I love the era but not the album... It's only better than bj b/c the vocals are hers(except the notes in bng) My track by track review Matm(underwhelming for a Madonna and Britney song and is easily her worst lead single imo)5/10 Boom boom( whiney sheep soundin vocals + ying yang twins= ear bleed) 4/10 Showdown(boring from start to finish and forgettable) 2/10 Early morning( horrible, boring, and forgettable) -10/10 Bom(stand out track helps save the album) 7/10 Outrageous(love the song and that bridge slays bring back r kelly pls)8.5/10 Toxic(took me a while to get the hype but now I get it...werk bitch) 10/10 Tomh( flawfree )9/10 The hook up( so underrated yet so awesome loves jamaicaney) 8/10 Shadow( I love it but it's not a ballad that sticks with me like her others...possibly b/c it was outshined by everytime) 7/10 Brave new girl( the fact the woman that made slave made this... I can't ) -20/10 Everytime( iconic) 10/10 Post your reviews of the album and your rankings 1 2

LiaLovesGodney Posted October 7, 2014 #8 Report Posted October 7, 2014 First and foremost, here is my ranking of each album: 1. Blackout 2. ITZ (yes, I like it....a lot) 3. Circus 4. BOMT 5. OIDIA 6. Britney 7. FF (I do like FF a lot, but it doesn't resonate with me) 7. BJ I'm going to review Circus. Womanizer: Catchy pop hit with a killer video, but the song itself is not very special on it's own. 7/10 Circus: One of my fav songs, it depicts her life well with the chorus alone. The creepy, whiny sounds at the end add to that whole theme of her life being a crazy circus freakshow. Minus one point because it isn't the most exciting song, but at the same time it is... 9/10 Out From Under: I first heard this sung by the original singer, and I prefer her voice on the song over Britney's. Beautiful ballad, but I would have rather seen Britney's "Everyday" in this spot. Or Phonography. 4/10 Kill The Lights: Has the sound of Blackout, because Danja. I love the lyrics and Brit's attitude on the song. 7.5/10 Shattered Glass: Very very cool breakup song with a twisted edge. I think it's one of Brit's best breakup songs, among many. 8/10 If You Seek Amy: One of my all time favorites. This song is cute with an ironically inappropriate and truthful message. A song like this is the type of pop Brit does best, controversial and sexy. 10/10 Unusual You: Gorgeous mid-tempo that accentuates Brit's voice well. I love it. 9/10 Blur:A rather fitting song considering what had just happened in Britney's life. Her voice is deep and sultry, the lyrics carry a lot of weight, imo. The instrumental is unique. Danja, bring it back (no really, please come back). 9.5/10 Mmm Papi: It's.......cute? 3/10 Mannequin: Perfect pop song that is very different from what you normally hear to this day. The acoustic guitars are everything and the lyrics (although somewhat hard to understand at first) are sassy and different. Loves it. 9/10 Lace & Leather: Always reminded me of Prince, and it would have been iconic if he'd featured. Funky, sexy, cool. 8.5/10 My Baby:I appreciate it for her raw emotion and love for her babies. Her voice is sweet and it's a nice tribute to them. -3 for her smelling SP and JJ's breath and it making her cry. 7/10 Radar: 7/10 just because of the Poledanceney in the Circus tour. Somebody can review this one in Blackout. BONUS: Rock Me In:Fun song that could have replaced Mmm Papi. 6/10 Phonography: Flawless and sexy with a unique concept. Should have been on the standard album, should of been in the tour, should of had a video. Shoulda woulda coulda. 10/10 Hold up, was I supposed to do ITZ?? Oh well
CIRCUS Posted October 7, 2014 #9 Report Posted October 7, 2014 I love In The Zone and it is my third favorite album by Britney because of the whole era and stuff but I also think it's kinda overrated by fans, there are some fillers on it and they are pretty awful. unreleased songs are way better than half of the record tbh 1. Me Against The Music (I love it, but solo version would have been so much better) 7/10 2. Boom Boom (one of the worst songs, Britney and Ying Yang Twins it not a good combination) 2/10 3. Showdown (It's ok but I always forget Showdown exists, I don't really remember last time I was listening to it) 5/10 4. Early Morning (one of the best from the record) 9/10 5. Breathe On Me (do I really need to say anything? it's freaking hot )10/10 6. Outrageous (SH*T) 1/10 7. Toxic (track overrated by fans. Toxic is good but I'm actually tired of this song. I used to love it back in 2006-08 tho) 5/10 8. Touch Of My Hand (definitely the best track on the album, it's like a pure magic) 10/10 9. The Hook Up (I'm not a big fan but overall it's not that bad) 4/10 10. Shadow (it's such a pretty ballad but somehow I feel the same thing as you do) 7/10 11. Brave New Girl (everyone hates this track but I think it's amazing. it's very cool, faded and urban, you know?) 9/10 10. Everytime (reminds me of good times, it's very sentimental to me) 8/10 13. MATM remix (WHY THE FUCK they added this shitty remix instead of another great song such as And Then We Kiss or Strangest Love I will never get it) 1/10 14. The Answer (once I really hated this one but about three years ago I fell in love, it's great and I think The Answer is very underrated) 8/10 15. Don't Hang Up (POP MASTERPIECE) 10/10

Maria Spears Posted October 7, 2014 #17 Report Posted October 7, 2014 To me this is one of her best albums, i think i like it more than Blackout (well i don't know, its hard to choose). I know what you meant with her personality back then.. In some interviews she seemed really fake but i do love this era, everyone got to see a different side of her and her music was innovative, you can tell she was really involved with this album. Like who would have pictured britney working with moby? R kelly? A lot of songs from this album i listen till this day and the sound of the songs are still fresh 10 yrs later. Me against the music- i love this. The sound is not that original, reminds me of Justin"like a love you" but its a good twist for Britney. The bad thing about this song is that came out after the VMA kiss and people were a little tired of britdonna. 9/10 IGTBB: underrated. It should have been a single. Ying yang twins can't rap shit but they were famous back then and at least i like the intro they gave the song. I love how throughout the song you get different beats and all of them are cool. I work out to this a lot. Edit: 8.5/10 Showdown: this song can be sometimes a little boring but i love the beat of this song and it really blends with the vibe of the album, its flawless and it actually was part of the soundtrack of a show i watched because the beat was awesome. It can be a little forgetable because brit never did an awesome performance of this so i have to give it a 8/10 Breathe on me: fucking perfect. 10/10 TOMH: fucking perfect 10/10 Early morning: i love this song and i think brit and moby should collab more, this beat is sick. I think the lyrics could have been better than "shaking my ass" so i give it a 9/10. Outrageous: i like it, i love her vocals in the bridge, gives me a Michael Jackson feel. 8.5/10 Toxic: masterpiece. Her best song to date. Gave us grammyney. This song was so awesome that even haters loved it and every other artist said that they wished it was them. Perfect 10/10. The hook up: i love it. It was a nice surprise to see this on the album. Latinney slays lives. (And can we talk about her moves in this performance?). This song is very underrated 8.5/10 Shadow: i like it. Its not her best ballad but its still good. 8/10 Everytime: perfect, flawless, beautiful, justney!! 10/10. Brave new girl: what the fuck is this song doing in THIS album??! Awful song, it has nothing to do with in the zone and it only ruined that flawless album. 0/10. 1
