This isn't the first time someone else sung a chorus either? Most of blackout comes to mind as well as early morning

People making this bigger than what it really is as usual

 

It is obvious, but it doesn't make it normal. The fact that it happened a lot with Britney's music doesn't make it more normal either. I don't understand when you all say "it's not like they tried to cover it up". She's a singer, why she doesn't sing her songs ? If she wants another voice on it, ok, no problem, but then it's a duet and it shouldn't have only her name on it. So for all these cases, why they aren't reported as duets then, especially if "they didn't try to cover it up"? Because i'm sorry, when you are not the only main singer in a song, it IS a duet.

 

When i read "Britney Spears - Name of the song" i expect her voice and not the voice of someone else on the chorus or whatever. 

I suppose a lot of you wouldn't be so happy or acting so unconcerned to this if the "other singer" was Will.i.am for example, and would sing all the entire chorus while you expected Britney to sing them because it wasn't specified as a duet, you know.

It is completely normal for songs to have vocals other than the main though. britney is not the first, nor the last to have different vocals/background vocals on their song. And no it shouldn't be labeled as a duet bc it's not one not when they are only there for a few lines. They should rightfully be credited as background vocals and that's it. And on that note Britney's not responsible for how a song is even mixed. That's on the producer.

Anyways point is. Britney had other people on her chorus since the beginning of her career, starting on her very first album. Question still stands, why are people making a fuss now?

We all know Britney's voice was used as background vocals for the chorus. It's not that she "didn't even care to sing the chorus herself".

Kinda shady of them posting something like that, especially now that the whole Alien drama still echoes.

Britney sings on the chorus of HATLM but isn't the melody but a lower register. I think she just liked the sound of the Demo singer (who is the writer) so she kept her as the melody. Britney has always been like the lead singer of a Group. She was a Female BSB.

 

The difference now than before is that you could usually tell when it was Britney and perhaps not on BJ with the Chorus of Passenger or such...

 

I hope they never hire Myah or anyone who sounds like Britney if for no other reason than this fan base loses their minds even on how Myah was used on WB.

I can't @ some members thinking Sabi's high register chorus vocals were Brit's it's Sabi doing the upper octave foreground vocals but you can still hear Brit doing the background vocals, just an octave lower. If you download the multipack of HATLM, you'd see that too, they're separate vox files

"She didn't bother to sing the chorus herself." That sounds so bitchily phrased. Be grateful to Britney Ina and don't slate her. Landing a self-penned track on one of the QUEEN's albums is a privilege most songwriters would be dying to add to their credentials.

Except she did sing the chorus, she just isn't the prominent vocal. She also recorded the chorus in falsetto for the FF tour. Why can't people get their facts straight before talking bullshit? It's especially unprofessional for this bitch.

I personally think the chorus itself could have been better imagined from a production, songwriting, and performance perspective

 

still it's a good song

 

and Britney does sing background vocals lower in the mix, so it's not entirely true

 

and this shouldn't really be news to anyone tbh

 

That's why the version I always play doesn't have the higher vocals
