She usually gets #1 albums. It's not hard for her to do if she does just a little bit more promoting and hopefully doesn't realease when there's so much competition

the positivity  :bomt:

I just don't get why everyone isn't more positive about it!? I mean all the doubt! :umad: This is BRITNEY we are talking about here! :excited:

Every major icon will have a BJ flop from time to time and then come back stronger than ever. It's happened to Madonna and Kylie tons of times. Have more faith ppl!   :ohhey:  :walkaway:

A #1 Single and #1 Album is a walk in the park for our Queen.  :Godney:

wasn't it like that with all of the albums except blackout and BJ?

RIGHT!??!

I mean certainly about the albums.. and internationally too. I don't think she had any Hot 100 #1 singles in the US after Baby until Womanizer..

As album sales have been in a bad state lately, I suppose a strongly selling single would gain more attention which might leads to the success of the new album. BJ was in bad luck that on the week it debuted on the chart there were albums marginally selling more. As far as I'm concerned, now one just need to sell just under 200k copies to debute at #1 in most cases; however, lots of albums like that descend on the chart really fastly. The point is, only a very exellent album could have enduring success while a catchy with a few meanings and well-promoted single could get a high position more easier. So, in brief, #1 single = success
