My mom loves Britney! I'll blast Britney and she'll sing along to whatever song is on. She also watches her videos religiously on Youtube all the time

My mother thinks Britney is a beautiful woman, but that's it. She doesn't like international pop music in general, especially female artists. She used to say bad things about her music (just because she doesn't like it), but I always yell and swear at her, so she stopped doing it lol

She was okay with Britney and even defended my Britney Spears birthday invitations I had in 7th grade when my teacher called Britney a nasty name, but when Britney was having a hard time in 2007 she started to dislike her and said she was crazy, but now she's indifferent. I'd like to think if I played a Britney song in the car she'd sing along. She knows I love Britney and sent me a Facebook post about the Alamo Drafthouse having a Britney Spears sing-a-long night. She's really cool and the reason I have cool music tastes along with my cousin Daniel.

My mom always asks me her age, and I tell her, and she only says: "wow, she's so young!!" (like if she thought Britney was 45 years old or something )

Well, my mom loves everything about God; she can be consider a "very religious person", so when I tell her something iconic Britney has accomplished as a person (i.e: Going through 2007 and coming back stronger than ever) she's like "Awww, Kev!  She's so strong! I'm going to pray for her. You'll see how God will give her strength and wisdom to live a better life." And I'm like "Yes, mom. "

 

Although she used to say she was a bad influence for me cause one of my sisters told her she was a drug addict and a whore (2007ney) But when she saw I was being completely serious and honest about how inspiring she is to me, she scratched that bad image she had of her and now she likes her. :bigsmile:

 

My whole family has come to terms with how much I love her and now they listen to her and sing some of her songs WITHOUT ME playing them or singing them first!
