It was my first time flying so I got to the airport 2 hours early (stupid move on my part). I obviously was a hot mess because I never flew before but I sat next to a great couple who calmed me. Flying isn't bad at all, it was actually quite fun. I then had a layover in Los Angeles for 3 hours (again awful). I finally got to Vegas around 7pm. My friend that lives there picked me up from the airport. He just moved out there a few months ago, so he gave me a tour of the strip. I also got to see the Bellagio Fountain show (which is incredible). I then headed over to my hotel. My reservation got messed up so I had to stay at two different hotels. The first one, Alexis Park, is one that I would recommend to any Britney fan. It's about a 15 minute walk to Planet Hollywood (nothing for a jogger like me) also for the less athletic ones they offer a shuttle to Planet Hollywood every hour. It was only $59 a night and for the amenities I thought it was quite a bargain. The second day was the day of my show. I layed out by the pool in the morning, around 5 and there were 3 people ahead of me. I became friends with all of them, it's really amazing to see how the power of Brit brings people together. Anyway, I'm so happy I met them because waiting in that line was truly the longest wait of my life. I usually avoid GA seats because I fucking hate waiting but obvs for Brit I did. They finally let us in the theater around 7:30, it all happened so fast and a large middle age man somehow cut in front of me. Seriously, be prepared to sprint to the pit line (oh yeah theres another line you have to wait in until 8). So finally, I got to the pit at 8. I stood right where the main stage connected to the catwalk (def recommended). At around 8:45 a 30 minute countdown started (so the show starts around 9:10-9:15). For the last 5 minutes, a guy tries to pump you up by announcing the rules but with cheesy Brit references. So it's showtime, the intro video is on (which also makes much more sense when you see it in person). Finally Work Bitch starts to play, everyone goes wild. There were many points in the show when I was damn well about to ball my eyes out from being so close to a living legend. She is also very tiny in person, vids and pics don't flaunt her flawlessness. I also got to meet Fe after the show. I stopped at McDonald's to get a quick bite after the show and I saw her assistant (the one with the heart shoes) inside. After the concert me and the people I met headed to the official afterparty at Liason (inside Bally's). I guess it was the first time they were opened on a Wednesday and it was quite dead ( it was us 5 and maybe 5 more people). So they closed at 2 and we walked across the hall to "Tequila" which had $2 tequila shots. After that most of the group was gone so it was just me and the couple I met. So we headed back to their hotel room at the Cosmo. We ended up playing beer pong and I learned to play blackjack! I guess I got back to my room around 7. Not sure what happened but I woke up on the floor in my boxers cuddled to a bag of McDonald's around 1pm. I then went to go sit out by the pool again. Around 6:30 I went to go meet the one guy I met the night before. He told me someone at Planet Hollywood told him Brit stays at Ceasars Palace. So he wanted to go see if he could find her. Spoiler, we didn't. But Ceasar's is such a beautiful hotel and the Forum inside is beautiful. I ended up eating at The Cheesecake Factory. After I was exhausted and went back to my room and headed to sleep. On Friday, I left Alexis Park and headed to my next hotel Springhill Suites across from the convention center. I work for Marriott so I got this one for free. This hotel was much further from the strip than my previous one. However, it is near a monorail station so I bought a 1 day pass for $9. Once again I relaxed most of the day. I headed to Planet Hollywood around 8pm. For that night I was in the front row of Sec 205. I know section 205 seems far away but that theatre is EXTREMELY small. I sat next to a married couple and the guy asked me "Do you know who this girl is?" I almost slapped a bitch (I later caught him singing along). Assigned seats are much easier than GA seats. I hated waiting for over 4 hours when I was in GA. Once again after the concert I headed to Liason. It was much more crowded than wednesday but still pretty eh. The club is very small. There were lots of people there however it was mostly older guys (not into it). So around 2:30 I headed back. I knew Saturday was my last day so I basically hardly slept. I went down to my lobby around 8am to take advantage of the free breakfast. I then took another adventure on the strip and bought souveniers for my friends and family. I headed back to get ready for the night. I guess on Wednesday night I bought a VIP Club Tour on Groupon. So since it was the night of my birthday I decided to use it Saturday. It started off at the Mandalay Bay, went to LAX at Luxor, and ended at Body English at Hard Rock Hotel. I had such a great time and made even more friends. Yesterday I turned 23 and I basically spent all day in airports but the Vegas experience made it worth it. Seriously the best week of my life.
