Britney is currently in the lead with 26% and madonna is coming in at number 2 with 17%. There seems to be no doubt that Michael Jackson is the King of Pop. This indisputable fact has seeped into popular consciousness to the point where there can be no serious pretenders to the throne. But there are a number of super-talented superstars who’ve laid claim to the Queen of Pop title. To some, Madonna may seem like the obvious choice, but what about current Queen Beyonce? And let’s not forget the unrivaled sales records of divas like Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. From iconic images of Britney Spears dancing in a high school hallway to Lady Gaga‘s way-out styles, each generation has their own favorite pop duchess. Oh my god, Why is Rihanna there? Whose the one above her? Brandy? What's wrong with this stupid list? Janet I understand, Britney I understand, Madonna I understand but the rest? Sorry but the rest IMVHO, the rest don't have the IT factor. (Don't kill me, but even madonna doesn't. I never got her appeal.) Edit - I voted for Britney because I grew up with her. I feel guilty for not picking Janet because Janet is phenomenal.. but I grew with Britney.. She's a part of my childhood. She's the one celebrity whom I never turned my back on.. even during her lowest point when everyone abandoned her. And Damn! Britney fans voted the most! Here I thought beyonce had tons of fans...
