So Britney Is Not Extending Her Residency?

How is Jennifer Lopez supposed to perform at Planet Hollywood if Britney is already there? They can't just both be there at the same time, it just wouldn't work. We never got an official confirmation from PH that Britney will actually stay for another two years either. 

 

Seems like J.Lo is not only getting paid more but also taking over Britney's spotlight. RIP POM. Didn't last long.

That's impossible, they would have to split promotion 50/50 and it would be too costly to constantly change the stage, lifts, posters, everything. Also Britney's breaks are not THAT long to make space for 70+ shows.

I already kind of answered this. Even if they had more than one theatre it simply would be impossible to have 2 main acts. 

I know occasionally there's someone throwing a show or two but it wouldn't make sense in the long-run, just like I said below:

I heard somewhere that she was throwing a New Year's Eve show in Vegas but then TMZ came up with this whole big report saying that she's all of a sudden throwing a residency.

i have no idea what to think about this. britney said in her interview she was talking about doing 2 more years and also she is making so much money for planet hollywood i don't see why they would let her go???? i think JLO might be just doing this when britney is not there.

I think that it all depends on Britney's sales. They declined a 7% in less than a year and they fear if they keeep britney for 3 more years they may be losing money, besides if they share the theatre they don't only have to redo the stage for J-LO but the entrance which is covered in Britney references.

Isn't JLO being paid more than Brit per show though? Surely they would redo the stage and things for her and not just go on Brit's stage? I think Brit might take a 2 year break then head back

My guess is that POM will end in 2015 as originally planned, and J-lo takes over in 2016. Meanwhile Britney will release album 9 early 2016 and the show will stay mostly the same throught the next year

The money is basicly the same. Jlo is going yo get more per show but Britney is going to get more per year. Im confused i don't know how is this going to work

Britney needs this album to be a success in order for Piece Of Me sales to remain stable. It would make sense to release the album while performing in Vegas even though it would make her less flexible with promotion. I genuinely do not know how this is going to turn out.

Me neither, but I would expect the album at some point in the next 2 years RCA clearly wants to fix the Britney Jean mess. Doesn't PH have another theatre though, the AXIS, is britney's but isn;t there another one on the other tower?

I mean, Britney on her own struggles to sell out shows most of the time so if Jennifer was performing next door her sales would drop drastically and vice versa. PH wants POM to be successful and this would put it in danger.

It would be most logical if J-Lo has a residency at another hotel considering that Caesar's Entertainment own tons of hotels in the strip, maybe TMZ assumed it was the axis, also TMZs article never mentioned Britney's contract extension, and its TMZ so most likely J-lo will have a tour with a date in vegas and the venue is the axis.

i thought britney confirmed the extension? and planet hollywood could easily promote both acts. they did it with nkotb and they weren't even there for a residency, just a weekend

maybe, but imagine two big icons (Britney more of course) in the same place, at the same time, it would be epic, and Axis would increase more, because those who come to see Britney, would end seeing JLo too because once you are there I think you wouldn't like not going to JLo's show if she is performing when you are there, and the same if you go to see JLo. On the other hand it would be really stressful for Axis

Britney's making them earn more money than ever, and If they are going to sare stage, probably JLo would like to change things, don't know guys, I just want to know more. Also I wanted Britney to leave her residency, but not in this way, not like if they dindnt want her anymore
