News Posted October 26, 2014 #1 Report Posted October 26, 2014 7 years ago today, the most legendary and iconic album in pop history was released today. Blackout is Britney's fifth studio album. During recording this album our girl Britney was experience some personal struggles and also her divorce with Kevin Federline. Britney worked with producers Danja, Bloodshy & Avant, Sean Garrett, and The Neptunes on this epic album. All of the songs on this album were based on sex, fame, media, clubbing and also some personal issues. Rolling stone described this album "the most influential albums in modern pop", YAS to that! Blackout was expected to land at #1 on the billboard charts but landed in at #2 with selling around 290,000 copies in the first week. Blackout is the first studio album that Britney did not get to number one but was later certified platinum by Recording Industry Association America by exceeding 1 million shipments. The record charted in the top-ten of several national charts internationally, and has attained several certifications worldwide. By the end of 2011, Blackout had sold 3.5 million copies worldwide. Today the Britney Army calls "Blackout" the bible because of the amount of slayage it has impacted on everyone. Still today the army worships this album and wishes we get something like this again in the near future. Happy 7th Birthday Blackout, this album is EVERYTHING!!!! Read it on our mainsite! 1
