I think it will be nice if Britney keeps the record but it's not up to us since Taylor or whoever has thier own fans trying for the record. I don't get why the Britney Army is so emotional over this record. Britney gets a couple mentions here and there otherwise no one in the press gives it any importance. History will highlight it I guess but she already held it for 16 years if Taylor does break it. Eventually someone will. Even with albums not selling as much. There are a lot of copies of Taylor's Album out there plus the digital pre orders. I doubt she will break it but they have done a lot to try an sell as much as possible. She is one of just a handful of woman to sell albums these days.

I highly doubt that Taylor's gonna break oops record, We're not on 2000 where you bought albums just on physical, this is an era where itunes is controlling the non-physical sells so, i don't think so  :uhno:, so don't worry OK?  :)

THIS!!!   :nowaygif:  :Godney:

haters gona hatehatehatehate it's very cool :bomt: i haven't listen to any other song off her album

Yeah Taylor's ok.. I mean her songs are catchy but I think she should have stayed to country/pop/rock.. this pop/r&b sound on her.. I'm not buying it.. RED was good but this....

Also this got me thinking.. if Taylor really wants to do dance/r&b pop instead of county/pop/rock she needs to put down the guitar and get some choreo because without dancing she is a  :flop:  in my book....  :umad:

It won't matter. Britney will still hold the record for a teen Artist.

How much will Taylor Swift's 1989 sell in its first week? It's still too early to know if it could hit the milestone million-sold mark, but its forecast is rising notably.

At present, industry sources are forecasting that 1989 (due Oct. 27 on Big Machine Records) could sell between 800,000 and 900,000 copies in its first week (ending Nov. 2). That would easily tally the single largest sales week for any album since March of 2013, when Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience debuted with 968,000 sold in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. (1989 would then also likely debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, giving Swift her fourth chart-topper.)

1989's current sales outlook is an upgrade from the 750,000 mark that prognosticators estimated a week ago (as reported in the Oct. 25 issue of Billboard magazine).

1989 Album isn't #1 WW on iTunes either.

I didn't know about all that stuff thanks!

who cares if she breaks a sales record it will not take away from what britney has achieved. taylor swift is so annoying i am a huge graham norton fan and i normally smile the whole way through his chat show on friday night. taylor swift was on last week her annoying personality ruined the show. i'm sure she is a nice girl and all and she is loveable in her own private time but she is so annoying in the media. she has the same sort of sarcastic humor that ellen degeneras and justin timberlake has. like they say something they think is funny and keep a straight face and wait for the laugh but it's not really funny what was said and it just looks like a person showing off to the people who are listening. and it's kind of  a fake personality. and i just find it embarrassing when she tries to be all sexy dancing.

I wouldn't mind tbh, Britney has hold that record for 14 years, which I think is enough. Another person's succes shouldn't bother us, but of course it would be cool if Britney still holds that record. We'll see what happens :)
