All of this shade against Circusney is.....

Also, it is really interesting to see how fast someone will encounter backhanded comments when they dare say anything against a. Britney Jean b. POM Residency or c. Just say something that shows a preference towards (gasp) Britney as a performer from past days than Britney as a performer now.

Circus Tour has plenty of choreo to be impressed by. And, in my truly honest opinion, almost all of it is better than Womanizer, Toxic, I Wanna Go, Stronger, Crazy, and Freakshow in POM. Know what? I'll add in WB because that choreo doesn't even look that good on Britney (not her fault).

Do you all not realize that for half of POM, Britney is just walking around her dancers? Doing arm-movements? Posing? Being picked up? Doing half of what her dancers do? If Circus tour is so bad and chock-full with lazyney, then how is POM much different?

MATM, she is posing against the walls, letting her dancers make it look easy. Two and a half dance breaks.

Gimme More, 1 chorus and she's pretty much done. Posing, hat tipping.

Break the Ice, posing and being picked up, then one chorus and done.

WB, mostly dancing, but sometimes she can't be bothered to even pick up her leg or bend down all the way.

BOMT/OIDIA, posing, being picked up, moving little are dancers who move a lot. Breakdown in the middle.

Freakshow, small amount of dancing. She does more of those sassy type moves in IUSA.

3, carried around on props, sorta dancing on the horizontal pole, and then a little at the end.

Toxic, she dances/poses in the tree, comes down to walk, pose, and move around her dancers. The "breakdown" lasts for like 6 seconds.

Stronger, she dances in each chorus, is picked up, moves around her dancers.

Crazy, the chorus with the guy in front of her is arm-movements galore, the breakdown right before the song is dancing but her dancers do most of that work. She doesn't even do that original move full out. It's just bending down.

Slave, posing, hair flipping, and walking around the pole, The breakdown is usually done well, but about all the dancing we get.

Womanizer, traffic directing.

Do Somethin', moving around, posing on, and sitting on chairs. She does some cute moves here and there, but not much.

Boys, short bit of aerobics-class style dancing. Mainly posing and walking around her dancers.

Piece of Me, stopped doing the chorus choreo, moves with dancers (but it makes sense here and is cute) then does the stair choreo. Cute, but not uber danceney.

I Wanna Go, posing, walking, not very much dancing.

Circus, good amount of dancing throughout the ENTIRETY of the song. Not just for 20 seconds or less. This one has really grown on me. But there's still posing, walking, move around dancers, armography, and being picked up.

Now how is THAT any more than what Circusney did???? And with less fluidity (YES, I said that word), attitude, and confidence. Those three things go a LONG way.

Here's A Thought Experiment: you are in a dance class. There are three dancers doing the exact same choreography each time they come.

1st Dancer: Doesn't always do the moves full out, but usually has the confidence of a veteran Broadway dancer. Over time, she improves. And by the end of class, she rarely shows signs of laziness. She looks happy to be here enough of the time so that the instructor believes she loves what she is doing no matter what mood she is in.

2nd Dancer: Barely ever does the moves full out. Tends to look bored. Unfortunately, any burst of energy she has is gone by the next eight-count.

3rd Dancer: Doesn't always do the moves full out, but has moments when she does exceptionally well. She usually has the look of someone who is constantly counting steps or is unsure of themselves. Sometimes she looks happy to be here, other times she looks like she's trying just to get it over with. The instructor isn't sure what to believe when watching this one. By the end of class, she has improved, but has a tendency to revert back to her old ways.

Who would YOU pay to see perform??

It's not dancing that's the problem... it's the energy which in my opinion, which isn't captured in video as well.

I went to watch Gaga last week and she barely danced that much (or even that good) but she still had a huge amount of energy. If you watch Artrave videos, she's pretty much walking around as well.

I find Piece Of Me better than Circus Tour but I don't think Circus Tour is bad, it's just too flawless, but Britney improved a lot since then which is great in my opinion.

What I can't stand is when people goes back to In The Zone or other Eras saying Britney used to be like this, and like that but in fact they wasn't even a fan to see how was it like. I'm not saying they can't complain but Britney wasn't full of energy in every show of The Onyx Hotel Tour, ya know?

And I assume you haven't seen POM live and you say based on YouTube videos?

Yes, actually. I am stating what Britney can be seem doing in a video or in person. Her expressions could perhaps be of my own interpretation (although everyone can recognize a smile and blank expression, can they not?), but me saying literally what she does in each song is just that. Compared to what she did in Circus, she is not doing very much more now. Maybe a little bit more, but not much.

you're absolutely right, I hate when people shade Circus Tour and try to prove that Piece Of Me is much better in everything when it's not. recently Britney got really lazy and looks like she doesn't wanna do it anymore. that's just my opinion, not everyone needs to agree

I've seen it live and really enjoyed it, definitely it was one of the best moments of my entire life, but I still think that Circus Tour is better and would've had so much more fun seeing it

I assume you've seen both POM and Circus live then (because you can judge too if you've not seen them live)?

@Nathan pretty much covered the point I was going to say. I laughed at how tragic ARTRAVE looked online, no dancing, hardly any singing yet my friends were blown off by the show when they went to see it in real life. Everyone says the same about POM. I haven't been to Vegas so I don't know the true experience. Neither do you.

If I had a choice to see The Circus Tour or Piece Of me, of course I would choose Circusney, no doubt! But some of you are acting like the Circus Tour was the greatest thing that Britney has ever done. No, shut up. The gap between Circus and the Onyx Hotel was only 4 years, yet I don't see anyone crying about it and saying how her standards have dropped so quickly. I'm pretty sure you did back in the day though. Everyone has the audacity to compare Circus with POM, even though Circus happened almost 7 years ago. Seven. Not four. Compare Piece Of Me to Femme Fatale Tour instead. A lot can happen within 7 years and your body definitely doesn't stay the same. Enjoy what you have now.

The Circus tour had a hell of the production, it was just a bigger show in general. Britney felt sexier, more confident, fair enough. Her conservatorship wasn't extended back then and I feel like she was more in control. I feel like she actually wanted to do this. But the fact that she can still come out there in Vegas and pull a show that is a huge improvement since the Femme Fatale Tour (which I have seen live) is enough for me to be happy. Drop your expectations, you don't stay 24 forever.

Yeah. I understand. As always, it comes down to a matter of taste. But what bugs me is when people flat out act like Circus was bad and POM is just SO amazing. It is, every Britney show is amazing. But imo, Circus is a better watching experience for me. And in terms of how much Britney dances, POM and Circus aren't too far apart.

And yeah, I was a fan back during her prime. And she was flawless like 98.999% of the time. In Onyx, we began to see her "I'm over it" look. But just a little bit.

I agree, gurl is lazy in POM and you'd be delusional if you can't see it

Then why don't you go to a Jennifer Lopez show instead of constantly crying about Britney's?  :displeased:

Because we know Britney can do better. I'll always be here for her but I'm also always here for people being the best that they can be. If I paid $900 to see Britney and she was hardly moving, I'd be disappointed.

Because I'm a Britney stan yet I'm not delusional, JLo dances better than Britney and you and I and everyone knows it

Circus Tour is not the greatest thing she's ever done. I know that. We all probably know that.

And Britney is only 32. That is not old by any means. She had little toddlers to tend to back during Circus. Now her boys are older, so you'd kinda expect how she acted in Circus to be how she acts during POM and vice versa. But I'm not Britney, and she can act and feel how she wants. Physicaally, I have no clue what goes on with Brit. But someone who has been dancing since they were 3 should have but so much trouble at only 32, although wear and tear can come into play. In terms of showmanship, that should only improve with age.

I recently have watched both Onyx and Circus and I was equally satisfied with both. Had Circus had more choreo, it wouldn't have been too far off from Onyx, imo.

Circus, FF, and POM are all compared because it's all in the "post-breakdown/primeney" era. It's not necessary all the time. But a valid comparison, imo.

Ok Honey! :omgah:  Yesss!! :raisehand:  Get it all out!!  :muahaha:

First of all no one should be shading Circusney! Circusney was amazing! OMG what an era!!! :crying5:

Obviously you are passionate about Circusney being better than POMney and I don't in anyway want to make you upset because I think you are amazing   :kisskiss:  and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. That being said I have seen The Circus Tour, FF tour and POM tour all front row, and Britney does 3 times more choreography in POM than she did in the Circus or FF tour.  :mhm:

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Circus tour and I feel like she was way more goofy and animated and seemed to be having more fun than she did on POM or FF.

No bias here, choreography wise POM is the best show Britney has done since Onyx. Even though my M&G with Brit was for the FF tour I still do like the Circus and POM tours better  :crying2: because for the Circus Tour she seemed to be having more fun and the outfits and setlist were perfection for me, and because of the large amount of choreography in POM.

Anyways.. that is my 2 cents.  ;)
