It's a solid pop record, it's a bitchin workout record, and every song was crafted to have a specific place in the album. It's basically a commercialized version of Blackout. HIAM: 10/10 Enormous, minimalist in its production, and a slayful bridge. All hail HIAM. TTWE: 9/10 If the song wasn't structured so interestingly, I'd probably find it reductive and boring. The compound rhythm as also hella interesting Inside Out : 10/10 It's sex in the 21st century and it predicted both the Tindr era and the sophisticated and dainty post-dubstep instrumental trends of modern indie R&B a la James Blake/fka Twigs. IWG: 7/10 It's catchy, it's the best thing to work out to, but it's kinda basic. Oh well, it's a fun song How I Roll: 8/10 (I'm a sucker for the percussion section, it's a very indie arrangement and precludes a lot of trends in indietronica) Drop Dead Beautiful: 1/10 Sabi sinks this song. I'd love it if her autotuned ape vocals weren't included Seal It With A Kiss: 7/10 passable filler material. the bridge saves it from being totally useless TFM: 10/10 LOVE it. For some reason I find the autotune here tasteful, idk why. Also, the producer ended up producing The Kook's new record, and it all just comes together for me so nicely Trip To Your Heart: 8/10 I actually really like this! If the bass/heavy synth part wasn't included, I probably wouldn't like it as much if at all but it balances out pretty nicely, scales back the bubblegum, and brings out the nice vocals Gasoline: 8/10 filler tbh but it's nice to hear how a Max Martin teen pop instrumental would sound like in the 21st Century Criminal: 7/10 I like it, but the Renaissance flute is kinda annoying after a while. Up n Down: 10/10 Solid glossy pop. The epitome of this album tbh HATLM: 9/10 I love the vocals, the topic is very evocative and the melody's good (I LOVE the prechorus), but the bridge is kinda a letdown. Still a solid track Shellfish: 6/10 meh. average. DKMW: 6/10. Average 00's pop rock tbh. Igor's Legacy mix with real instruments sounds way betta Score 8/10 While the autotuning may be excessive and Brit's soul is glossed over in favor of nonstop nonballad excess, the album is topnotch production and brings many indie trends to the mainstream (the post-dubstep "PBR&B" of Inside Out, the glitched-out Afrobeats of How I Roll, the glitch-pop electroclash of HIAM's bridge). But it is..i still listen to this album a lot and work out to it.. i think this album had the ITZ, BO essence of having all the songs blend together very well. The songs i usually skip or dislike from this album when i give them another listen they are actually nice (except How i roll of course) so she did a nice job with Femme fatale. 1)TTWE: A bit generic but i was pleasantly surprised to see Britney do this kind of song (back then..BJ was too much of it), catchy song, and help Britney get back to the GP..even my 35 year old brother who hates britney had this one on his car. 10/10 2) Hold it against me: Flawfree. The first time i heard it it was a little blah for me until i heard the bridge and i instantly became obsessed. One of her best videos (Keep watchin HIAM bitches ) 10/10 3) Inside out: THIS should have been the third single. Awesome song, sexyney..the beat is very different and "hit me one more time" again????? yessss please i love it. One of the best songs of this album (if not the best) 10/10 4) I Wanna go: I remember brit doing a poll to choose the 3rd single and fans chose this ! I never understood what the fuss is about with this song, and never understood why this song is the one with more views on youtube. Its catchy, yes..but a little boring. Great workout song, but that's about it. 6.5/10 5) How i Roll: i hate this song. Is Britney a 13 year old?it sure seems like it when you listen to this song 0/10 6) (Drop dead) Beautiful: i really like this song, the lyrics are a little basic but i love the "your body look so sick i think i caught the flu". This could be a better song without Sabi. Like really? What the hell is she doing here? I will say this a million times..britney needs to realize she is a legend and not do this weird collabs. Anyways good song 8/10 7) Seal it with a kiss: for me this is a OK song. I always skip it when i listen to this album because its kind of forgetable for me. But like most songs in this album is not that bad 4/10 8) Big Fat Bass: i always think of this song as the one that started the awful work relationship with Wil.i.am . Catchy song but a very boring FFT performance, but i like the beat 6/10 9) Trouble for me: this song is awesome, fierce and underrated 9/10 10) Trip to your heart: flawfree, it makes me think of Confessions of Madonna. 10/10 11) Gasoline: it was a little forgetable for me but the perfume comercial made me appreciate it more..7/10 12) Criminal: love it and i really love love love the beginning of this song.."he's got my name tattoed on his arm his lucky charm" are you talking about Justin brit brit ? Probably not but one can dream. 9/10 13) Up N Down: loveeeeee thiss song. Best performance of that tour catchy, sexy, fun 10/10 14) He about to loose me: great song, great lyrics. I always thought the chorus didn't sound like her and someone posted that in fact it was another girl so kinda dissapointing i thought that other people singing for her started in BJ .
