i think brit will still be the youngest female to hold it, tho. its w/e... not like we can stop it now

and let's be honest she will be the first to have that record and plus Britney would hold the record for selling it at regular price

lol at what the uniformed fans are saying on there

And Taylor did not have to give her album away for 99 cents like Gaga did or buy her own albums on iTunes like Beyoncé did.

Billboard is gonna lose all the respect it had after this. By their own laws it says album sales are counted only if the album costs at least 5usd. The fact that they broke their own law and are counting an album so cheap to be successful, proves that they have been bought. This is actually a legitimate proof that Taylor Swift paid to billboard some good cash for this to happen. Good job Billboard, I hope that whole gp spits on you and starts laughing at you for this. OIDIA was sold for 15 usd, remember that, pigs.

and you had to leave your house to buy it.

1. Like someone else said, I'm pretty sure Britney will still be the youngest female to sell that many copies of an album

          opening week (18 vs. 24)

2. Britney will have held the record for 14 1/2 years.

3. Taylor doesn't make timeless music. 1989 may pass OIDIA in first week sales, but it won't have the same impact.

4. And it was also pointed out that the album is selling for $.99. OIDIA sold at full price. She may break the record, but only                               because 1989 was discounted.

I know. But the media is not talking about this and that is what pisses me off. I mean i can buy gum more expensive than Taylor's album!! People should tweet this shit to fucking billboard
