Well then if will be much   because britney had the overall record with 1.319k   until 2001 that was broke by eminem   then britney become  of female artist with biggest sales in the first week   and eminem become in the overall record and the male artist best-selling first week, eminem broke overall record with 1.322K the first week   ... I heard a Japanese female artist called Utada Hikaru once sold 3 million copies in the first week of her album "Distance"?

But Japanese albums' first week sales are mostly equal to their total sales.The total sales of Distance are still 3.+ million.

Lol I know.I was shocked too when i heard this.Utada is a great artist.But not as great as Britney of course. It's just different ways of selling albums in different countries' music markets, in Japan people prefer to buy it in the first week, almost 90% of total sales are from the first week sales.It's somewhat tricky to compare Japanese album first week numbers with other countries'.So some record projects like Guinness Record don't think those sales actually count.
