- unparalleled 14.5 year reign

- Youngest person ever to hold that record

- Iconic album status

- the overall sales record OIDIA held was only beaten by a Britney-obsessed Primeinem

- 1989's possible sales record will be shattered before the era even ends when Godele releases "25"

- nobody gives a fuck anyways, and the only one who does is Taylor herself, who's had to stuff her schedule with unmemorable promo, whore herself out in a trashy mv, and yank her albums from Spotify so that people would be forced to shell out 99 cents to listen to an overall crappy record

-Britney couldn't even be bothered anyways. Trailor, come back to the game once you're twice as wealthy as Mitt Romney

another thing this might just be my bias, but when Oops first came out EVERYONE was talking about it. Britney was EVERYWHERE. She really was a global phenomenon. But for Taylor's new album I honestly havent heard that much about it... Besides this site and one or two of my friends, I havent been hearing people discussing Taylor or praising 1989. It was obviously successful, but it didn't really have that Oops impact... or even the Born This Way hype back in 2011

to each their own

That's true

Well, glad you liked the album but it's not worth breaking the record because there are other albums which deserve it much better than 1989.

I don't hate Taylor but I think she's little overrated and her music isn't anything special, I'd say it's boring as fuck in my honest opinion

I would be really mad if she breaks it because OIDA is a pop masterpiece and comparing it to Taylor's work....just no.
