When Your Eyes Say It was supposed to be released as either the 4th or 5th single from Oops I Did It Again. The video was shot in early 2001 and directed by Jonathon Dayton and Valerie Faris. It was supposed to be released as the 4th single. It was cancelled as Don't Let Me Be the Last To Know was released instead. It was then decided to be the 5th single, it was cancelled because of Don't Let Me Be the Last To Know’s poor performance on the charts. The video remains unreleased. Some say the video never existed.

 

 

 

 

He Loves U Not, by girl group Dream was originally written for Britney and for this album. Britney did Not record this song.

You Got It All was actually recorded for Baby One More Time, and was included on a promotional tape in 1998 previewing tracks from the album. It is rumoured that this was the first ever track Britney recorded – when she started work on the Baby One More Time album.

The line in Oops!… I Did It Again, I’m not that innocent, may not be a jab toward her former girl group Innocense, but certainly is fitting. She was a part of the group during their inception around 1997. When Spears decided to take the solo route, she was replaced by Veronica Finn. However, Innocense became the opening act for Spears when she began touring. The line in the song may just be her trying to distance herself from a sweet innocent girl - she was taking on more of an adult role.

The album broke the SoundScan record for highest debut-week album sales for a solo artist. She sold 1,319,000 copies debuting at the top of the U.S. Billboard 2000. No female has beaten this yet.

Cottrill and Wnukowski claimed that they authored, recorded and copyrighted a song called "What You See Is What You Get" in 1999 to one of Spears' representatives for consideration on a future album, though it was rejected.
