i agree :yaknow:

: )

It's the truth. It's unheard of to change a new show so soon. She can just add like a song or 2 or replace a song randomly but def not change the entire show yet! No way!!

Posted

Yes but people will look at the videos before watching the actual show to see if it's any good... I think concert goers are smarter nowadays to do research if the show is worth it. And no one's going to remind them it's different live. :yaknow:

The event probably will help for the next few shows but nothing long term.

I never watched any show on youtube to see if it's good or not tbh... I just look at the setlist, if i like at least more than half of the songs, i go :orangu: and yet sometimes i don't even look at anything, i buy it and that's it, as long as i like the artist i know i'll have a great time no matter what anyway.

I don't think the event will help anything tbh, except the fans nobody will check for that.

she really needs to do changes if she wants to do a sell out show all the time. when she did "some" changes people were like OH MY God we need to go back, the army was loving it. she really needs to do a new set list and everything to keep it fresh.

even in britney jean documentary she was like i need to keep it fresh and stuff. well where is it?!??!?! :gloria:

To be fair, she did change up a bit, compared to how it started. Slave was improved for example, but they could always add something more spectacular after the long break. Something that'll attract more attention.

I know more and more people doing that :orangu: Many were turned off by the bad Mariah singing videos for example. Your hard earned cash could go to waste!

From what I can see, it's a huge Vegas event so it'll probably push people that are already there.

The every day person doesn't do that to be honest. Lol. Only if your like a teenager who has nothing better to do then sit on your computer all day and youtube things.

I'd say there's a good chance a number of those are fans who would most likely want to see if the show is worth watching lol.

That's def not the case!! The majority of people don't belong to online forums and don't do youtube stuff. ESP older people like in thee late 20s and 30s. It's just more of a younger person thing to do. Nothing wrong with that but people don't judge concerts form youtube couse there completely different live!

They not only need to change the show, but also they need to promote it again, just like last year. Releasing a single could help, but we know it's too late to come up with that. If they kept releasing single after single throughout the year, Britney would be relevant in the current music scene, and perhaps that could attract GP to go and see the show. I've always said it, maybe Britney Jean wasn't the best album, to receive 7 singles or so, but the songs were so different from each other, that they could have easily released single after single, maybe every 2 or 3 months, without tiring people. I mean, Alien, Tik Tik Boom, Hold on Tight, Til It's Gone, Now That I Found You, Passenger, they could have cover the whole year with singles, with a different sound each one, and maybe appealing to a different kind of audience each time as well.

Change the setlist, perform on TV, release an album, release a videoclip, just something to promote, it's the only answer :yaknow:

Def do not agree with your statement about a new single every month. Lol. That's a mess. That's a way to end someone's career. Lol. People will get sick of her. I mean look at lady gags. She had single after single after single and now people are sick of her. That's def a bad idea!! Lol

My suggestions are:

1. Change the show! People love the setlist and the critics as well but songs like Do Something should be changed for bigger hits like If you seek amy, Hold it against me, Outrageous.

2. Outfits: some outfits look really cheap and unflattering like the BTI section, those pants dont fit her well.

3. Vocals: live ballads!!!!!!!!! Pre recorded vocals in every other song. People dont like to hear something exactly like the CD and now every single artist is trying to sing live or at least play a damn good pre recorded vocal and Britney should do the same specially if she is now known for lippin' : "she can't sing anymore" "she can't dance anymore" "shes not talented" and all that crap.

3. More dancing in the show. She is known for dancing and being sexy. Those things made her an icon. She should cut down her "arm dancing" and put more fierce dance moves.

4. I think her attitude is one of the biggest issues. Nowadays people look for a show on youtube before going to see it.. And as i was saying in the infamous -now deleted- "piece of me is dead" thread.. In the Kathy Griffin freakshow day all the online comments said that brit looked bored, uninspired and that kathy seemed more into the show than her. People expect her to be perfect every night because she is a pro doing this for 16 years and she is a legend.

5. Promo! Promo! Promo! go to talk shows and she definitely should do a live performance to remind people that she is not a lipsync robot and that she is actually talented. HD pictures in social media couldnt hurt either, HD clips of the show in social media, DVD of the show.. Etc.

Edit: 6. She needs to interact more with her audience, people criticized that from the show and i really miss how conected she was with her audiece before. For example, when i went to the FFT everyone hated that she didnt say anything but "how you are feeling?" "I can't hear you!"

Like I was about to say in the other thread, fans might be scared to be disappointed. I've seen reviews wherein they found Brit's lack of energy a bit sad. To me, the very heart of Britney isn't the dancing or singing obviously, but that she looks happy onstage.

The comments on that video were sadly spot on.

To her, it might be hard to pull it off on a "bad night" but there are fans who traveled to see her and expect the happy, energetic Britney onstage. Imagine spending hundreds of dollars front row on an "off night". :boring:

I personally think the amount of dancing is fine. If you look at her older tours, she never really danced an entire show. The quality of the choreo when she did dance was just better and when she wasn't dancing, she put on a lot of energy and SOLD each movement.

They don't have to be internet addicts, they can just type Britney Piece of Me on YouTube lol :moorangu:

That might be true. But I've seen talked to some people online "apprehensive" about going to the show because of it so surely, they might be representative of a certain audience as well. :yaknow:

That would be a bad idea, if the album was something like Prism or Artpop, where all the songs sound the same. How can people get tired of someone that's bringing a different kind of song every time? Again, Tik Tik Boom is so different from Hold on Tight, or Alien, or Passenger, and those three are so different. I didn't mean every single month, but every 3 months, seems pretty decent to me. We won't have a new album anytime soon, and they should have take advantage of what they had, which was Britney Jean. After all, it was supposed to be a way to promote the Vegas show, and they only used 2 singles.

After a year without singles, Britney is out of the current music scene: she's not on the radio, she's not on TV, she's not relevant in YT with new music, I mean. After a year, people who really wanted to go to see Britney and could afford that, have already gone and watched the show. Probably some of them will go again, but not all of them. Promoting her lingerie line or the Britney Day won't tell people that she's still presenting her show in Las Vegas and that they need to go to see her. She needs to promote with music.

Well, weird tbh, i don't do that and my friends aren't doing it either. And sometimes there are shows that are sold out before the tour even started.

It's not really the same for Mariah it was kinda viral, i saw a video on some celebrity websites. It's like the lip syncing fail video of Britney with Perfume, people didn't go on youtube to actually see videos of her they just found it randomly on some website or whatever because it went viral, otherwise nobody would have looked at the performance tbh.

Yeah people already there maybe, but there is only like 2 shows left, it won't change a lot of things lol. Anyway they need better promo, something that at least all people in US will know about, not just people in Vegas. Seems like they forgot how to do useful promo, i don't know.

Music' always a good option to promote, but I hate BJ and everything from that album would flop so idk. :orangu:

I think her team is very basic with keeping Britney's brand relevant as a pop legend. They don't buy her awards, they don't get the media to write articles about her, they don't even help her old songs get more exposure, like what Beyoncé's team has done.

She has all the receipts of a superstar, but the best they could think of is literally making Britney promote her own panties. :orangu:

Where are the high profile endorsements? Where are the prestigious awards? Where are her legendary songs on movie soundtracks?

Well  :)  ... A lot of people is saving money for black Friday/ thanksgiving , so, we should wait a little until after those dates :mhm: , another aspect is maybe, the amount of fans who are able to travel to USA is less now, because maybe everyone who had the money to go already went to POM :crying2: ,it's not easy to sold out every time because people don't have money.

And, I must say I agree that maybe, people is waiting for some changes in the setlist /choreo or something, and that's why they are waiting to go  ;)

I see the videos in youtube, and I see a lot of people there tho :cutelaugh:

Well yeah in some of her previous tours she didn't dance that much. I guess what i meant is the stage presence. Remember the What you see is what you get performance in OIDIA tour? Hardly any choreography but it was awesome and fierce and she owned that stage.

These numbers could be good or bad depending on what is happening in Vegas and what they expected. We know the ticket price have steadily increased. I think the first thing they should do is lower them back down. Then having Britney do some promo in December and throughout next year should be on the agenda.

But this is a show and not a tour. I get that people want to see different things but there really is a difference. For fans it's hard for them to think of it as a show though because Britney has toured a lot in her career.

I do think getting better costumes should be on the agenda as well. It will make a difference for fans if there are major costume changes across the board starting in the December shows.

I wanted them to switch the toxic tree and the Baby section but a friend who does props thinks there is no way they will risk getting the tree stuck on the stage that early. Anytime you have a moving mechanical prop you have to plan for what if it gets stuck.

I think it's because she extended the residency so now people can take a breather and make money so they can go later, so no ones in a rush because they can see her 2 years from now or so :) Like me! lol

dude, it's only a 4000-seat THEATER (no, not stadium, not arena, a fucking theater.) There's NO EXCUSE for her to not sell out every single show with 4000 measly seats. I mean, shit, Lady Gaga can still sell 7500 tickets for her all of her shows, that's almost DOUBLE.

Lol gaga can't sell out anything. Lol. Nice try

Bottom line PH wouldn't have given her a huge raise and extended her shows if she wasn't doing well! That's the truth. It's FACT!!

Vegas shows are never usually sold out!

LMFAOOOOOO!!!!!!!! If half of every Gaga show was sold, she would be on par with Britney's show. HALF.

For all we know, Britney and her team used almost no money to promote Britney Jean. What makes you think that PH would go public about Britney's shows not selling well lol? That would impact the show even worse!!!!

All I know is that Billboard confirmed that the show wasn't sold out, and because they're a third-party they have no reason to be biased. #DISMISSED
