HIAM had heaps of promo - teaser videos - performances, posters - it was cool - but the video teasers dragged on for too long - Loved the ammount of promo for FF - and I hope we can have it again!

I mean, before the song was released :yaknow: It broke records on its release, didn't it?

Lol didn't Britney go fishing and left that song for weeks before finally doing about three dreadful promo performances? :orangu:

lol at the people undermining the "Hold It Against Me" hype. The hype leading up to the release of the song was HUGE. OMG it was one of the best stan moments of my life. Literally everyone was staying up until midnight to download the song on iTunes. And then those teasers leading up to the release of the music video were also amazing.

Actually prior to release - not really - I just remember checking my weekly downloads and boom there it was - I think that is why it made such an impact - it was not expected really..

OMG, I remember it like it was yesterday! I've became a stan back then so it was even more amazing to me. FF era was great musically wise and promo was great too! Almost every single Britney fan stayed up late and downloaded the song and watched the video when it premiered. I remember it was very exciting reading the stories from other fans of how they waited for it. :crying1:

And I must disagree with most of you here - you all say that teasers for video was bit much, but it still managed to do what it was supposed to do - it hyped everyone up and people loved the single.

I hope something like this for B9. :crying3:

Did her team promote HIAM a lot, though?

From what I remember it was her fans hyping up the song on Twitter and the media writing articles about it before it was released. Britney's fan base was a lot stronger back then.

Yes!! It had a lot of promo but also a great reception from fans and even celebrities. I remember Lana del rey and Khloe Kardashian tweeting about it! Awww the good ol'days
