I wouldn't put it past Jamie to set them up or whatever. But I swear these articles talk about Britney as if she is a child. Mental illness or not, Britney is not some puppet that needs taming and I hope and pray the ones closest to her don't see her that way, because these gossip sites obviously do.

So what they are really saying is that Charlie and Britney spent time together in meetings for this reality show. That's how they met and took an interest in each other. 

 

Charlie doesn't need Britney to make reality shows. And Britney's father doesn't need Charlie to get Britney a reality show. Not even to get her to do one. This reality show wouldn't be a Britney Reality show in the since of invading her everyday life. This would be a tv show about Charity and giving back. 

 

People just don't like to give Britney any say in her life. They want to feel sorry for her or get mad on her behalf.  They actually are the same way her father is reported to be in these romance situations. 

 

And Britney does have small childern and she has a lot of money and has been used by people in the past. Having the background investigated is understandable. And so is parents wanting their children with seemingly good people.

In the case of Britney Spears and her new boyfriend Charlie Ebersol, it seems her father, Jamie Spears, is the answer to the aforementioned question. While it's not unheard of for a father to set his daughter up on a date, a source alleges there may have been an ulterior motive for Jamie's matchmaking.

 

Speaking to Daily Mail, a source claims that Jamie and Charlie met during a meeting in which Charlie pitched a reality TV idea that would highlight Britney's role as a philanthropist. According to the source, Jamie liked what he heard enough to introduce Charlie to his daughter. It is unclear whether or not they are planning to proceed with the reality show, but the source seems to imply that, in introducing the two, Jamie was hoping to see the reality series come to fruition.

 

"Jamie likes the idea," the source says. "And so does Britney. It puts her out of her comfort zone of playing mom and rock star and into the role of giving to those in need."

I do think that Jamie is probably happy about the relationship, since it's a guy from the industry and he has always cared about britney's career (prob even more than her ) but the rest of it sounds like BS
