I love a lot of the songs on Britney Jean. But I can't listen to Don't Cry because it makes me feel really depressed lol

Britney Jean's general concept of being more personal I can get behind because compared to the slickly produced, sex-driven Femme Fatale it is.  It's just the songs that ended up on the final track list aren't the best examples, like if you're going to have a song about dancing to the point of exhaustion it better be a good one ("Till the World Ends" >>> "Body Ache" easily) not some basic dance anthem that feels completely sexless.  Plus if the lead vocals were 100% sung by Britney, BJ easily ranks as one of her vocally driven albums in a long while. I have a love/hate relationship with this one.

Thank God the usual Britney fans didn't give it a chance. I'm glad this embarrassment of an album flopped. It was a big slap on the face on her team that they can't give us half-assed shit and we will just eat it up. 

 

Body Ache alone shows how much they don't respect us anymore.

I enjoy listening to BJ for the most part, but it's one of my least favorite Britney albums.

 

I just feel like it could have been produced so much better.

 

There are a few gems on the album, but it doesn't stand the test of time like her past albums.

I like the bridge
