And Britney's is the most innocent looking.

IKR  :crying1:  , and she was on that cover because she deserved it, and she worked really hard to be the superstar she is  ;)

Thanks for replying Bb :-*

One of the best, iconic, controversial magazine covers.  Yeah, the mixed message of childhood innocence & adult sexuality is a little gross but this shoot personified her allure during the BOMT era.

Thank you so much for replying Cutie :cutelaugh: <3

The contrast between innocence and sexuality is a little creepy (plus the teletubbie freaks me out :ahhhhhh:). But she looked flawless regardless. :fab:

I've never noticed the teletubbie before :moorangu: , my eyes were always on Britney :gloria:

Thanks for replying Bb <3

lmao I HATED this cover. As much as I think the stripped album is like her core, I couldn't get past the horrible weave and over plucked eyebrows.

I KNOW! Ew! Her hair looks like it has tentacles!

Anyway, I love Christina! (+ Britney.. can't help it. I'm a pure 90's girl) but honestly back then.. something bothered me about christina especially during that era. I never understand what was it that bothered me so much... but now when I look back at it, I realize what completely turned me off about her. It was her HORRIBLE EYEBROWS! I always liked her dress style because she was weird, and she took risks. (She was no britney of course but I didn't care. She was the amazing girl with a voice) Also those tacky piercings did NOT fit her. Xtina's problem is that she doesn't really know what suits her (like that red lipstick, ugh).

Kinda went off topic a bit, but yes I agree with you. I hated her yucky dirty blonde hair (I liked her hair better black.. or even better.. her Genie days) and I DESPISED her eyebrows (or lack of) Plus I kinda think her "Dirty" era was much tackier than Britney's (even though I do think Britney went overboard with her Slave video despite it having a killer choreography and her looking sexy.)

How was the Slave video going overboard? All it included was her dancing, sweaty, gasping for air with her dancers, and showing her belly. The video is quite tame, imo. Sexy, but not over the top at all. :nowaygif:

I thought it was a bit much, and I still do. Maybe because I was so shocked by the video. I was so used to seeing Innocentney then all of a sudden.. the slave video comes out. I know there was DLMBTLTK before it, but I don't remember finding it shocking at all (Everyone else did.) I just found it a bit sexier but it didn't hit me hard like Slave did. (In fact, I didn't even think the Spice girls were provocative. Britney's slave really hit me hard.)

Even now when I look at slave and I look at her other videos, I still get kinda shocked by it. I didn't mind the dancing in slave, but the guy licking her face was kinda.. gross. I remember screaming when I first saw it. (LOL) I was so shocked! Where did Baby-ney go? (Okay okay, maybe it was me.. being a little too naive but you know, I was 11 back then.) And the music scene wasn't so open like it is today. A lot of people were shocked by her video and Xtina's back then.  For a long time I thought 1999-2000 britney was innocent, I never saw anything raunchy about the school girl outfit.. I always thought it was just her being in a .. uh.. school and dancing! :thatsfunny: :thatsfunny:  I was 9 when Britney's video debuted. :thatsfunny:

Guess I was different kind of child. I was around 6 or 7 and saw nothing wrong, just that Britney was changing a lot. :shockney: I went on to love albums like ITZ and Stripped with no problem around the age of 9. :orangu:

Hahaha!! I love hearing stuff like this. <3 You know, I remember listening to Breathe on me for the first time and feeling soooo shy that I just turned it off and didn't finish listening to it until MONTHS later.. when I actually had the courage. :thatsfunny: :thatsfunny: :thatsfunny:  Yikes.. I can't believe you made me remember that... :o :o :watafail:
