their careers have been simillar :gloria:

At the very moment:

Britney has the half of the success Madonna had in 2003

Britneys gonna have her confessions slayage!!

Beyonce has the one third of the success Janet had in 1997

Beyonces last big selling album will be the current one.. she gonna flop hard from now.. Damito Jo :lmaolol:

Gaga has the one fourth success Mariah had in 1997

Gagas done for like Mariah.. she could have a comeback album like mariah did in 2005 so Monsters have to wait for 8 more years Gagas rainbows coming soon :thatsfunny:

Justin T has one tenth the success MJ had in 1991

Same slayage.. but no where will album sales be the same... lmao...

I'd say Rihanna is this generation's Madonna. I can see Beyoncé having a bigger career than Britney in the long run and Janet was never bigger than Madge so I don't think that's the right comparison. :yaknow:

I think Beyonce just started becoming really relevant in Sasha Fierce era... but it's evident that Rihanna knows how to keep GP interested in her from years to years, just like Madonna

Mmm no. Most of the GP that I've talked to is tired/annoyed/well over Beyonce and her music hasn't been living up to her hype. Not her stans, but generally other people are. Maybe that's just in Canada or my area idk but around here even my radio VJs admitted on their Facebook page that they won't play her music because they're so sick of her.

EDIT: The only way I can see what you said happening is if she takes a long hiatus and makes a comeback then maybe.

Well I can see Rihanna's music continue being popular, unlike Beyonce's so I agree with that. I think Bey will just be more respected as a performer, but then again, Madonna wasn't even the best performer from her gen.

Honestly I think Britney's career is in a separate category I can see what you mean tho. I think she's gonna have a post-comeback peak coming up after Britney Jean flopped I think some effort is gonna be put into it next era but idk let's hope but let's hope that's not her Confessions cuz Madonna hasn't had that successful of a album since then so I hope Britney's will be different and keep it up after  :)

I think it's more of the drive. Britney has clearly lost her drive and while I would disagree Bey is the most influential female for this gen, she is way more relevant to the new generation than Britney, has had an impact on the previous generation as well (not as much as Britney) and probably will keep having an impact on future generations. Just because she's working more consistently. :yaknow: Her overall career will end up very impressive.

Really? I don't really hear new Beyonce music except Drunk in Love. I'm convinced her music won't be as remembered as her reputation as a performer because every time she performs (not very often anymore), it gets a lot of press.

That's true she is a good performer but eventually people get bored i.e. what happened to Lady Gaga

Gags continuously embarrassed herself for the longest time though. :orangu: It was coming.

I know right all those tactics could only work for so long. Which is too bad because Gaga's got a lot of potential and could have taken it farther if she didn't dig her own grave

Beyoncé is very career driven and has been since the beginning. Her stamina is very rare in pop stars as she has ultimately had a very successful solo career. She also is in charge. When she wasn't as popular for awhile it was because she wasn't managing herself. Now she is the boss and I think that is the key to all of her success the past few years.

And we cannot be in denial about the Beyoncé album it is very memorable and the fact she did zero promo for it shows her impact. the album wouldn't have been as successful if she had released it pre Super Bowl. People know that album start to finish because there was no single prior to the album coming out.

If britney continues to be surrounded by handlers who still disallow her from creative freedom, I'm afraid she will wash up and people will just remember her as a pop star who had the most public and intense mental breakdown in pop culture.
