Britney = Madonna, Beyonce = Janet, Gaga = Mariah?

Beyoncé is very career driven and has been since the beginning. Her stamina is very rare in pop stars as she has ultimately had a very successful solo career. She also is in charge. When she wasn't as popular for awhile it was because she wasn't managing herself. Now she is the boss and I think that is the key to all of her success the past few years.

And we cannot be in denial about the Beyoncé album it is very memorable and the fact she did zero promo for it shows her impact. the album wouldn't have been as successful if she had released it pre Super Bowl. People know that album start to finish because there was no single prior to the album coming out.

If britney continues to be surrounded by handlers who still disallow her from creative freedom, I'm afraid she will wash up and people will just remember her as a pop star who had the most public and intense mental breakdown in pop culture.

There's nothing I want more for this next album than for Britney to be in charge of it for the reasons you said above but also because when she's passionate about something you can really tell like the Intimate Collection for example. If she gets the product of music that she wants she'll be more likely to promote it, more passionate about it on stage, basically the whole package.

Yes I agree 100% bout the intimate collection. If she truly loves it people will know, because lbr she isn't good at faking interest. If she is truly excited and confident about her music it will be infectious to the GP

Mte!

Although I don't think Bey is as in charge as we like to think, her marketing and drive is a force to be reckoned with. She is RESPECTED and is probably one (if not the) of the biggest celebrities right now.

Some Britney fans choose to remain in denial but the way they're handling her, they're tarnishing her legacy. She won't be remembered as the girl who performed with MJ or the girl who owned the VMAs. She might end up as just some popular teen star in the 00s who went through a mental breakdown and never really recovered from it. I just saw some thread on another site about how Taylor Swift has surpassed Britney and Taylor was actually winning... it's sad, but the newer generation seems unaware of Britney's impact.

I know right all those tactics could only work for so long. Which is too bad because Gaga's got a lot of potential and could have taken it farther if she didn't dig her own grave

That bitch tho... Album of the milenuium :gloria:

She blew her chance... Like mariah

She could make a good comeback I see it for her

The sad thing is, I did find Born This Way to be a very good album.

But, the Judas decision (bashing religion isn't as cool as it used to be thank God), turning into a man for the VMAs, her pretentiousness... it became all too much. She lost her charm and her performing declined so much in the Artpop era. :gloria:

She should've started the era with Marry the Night like originally planned. Scheisse should've been a single :crying3:

Artpop is an okay album, she just overhyped the fuck out of it AGAIN. Did you download the app? :gloria: DWUW should've been lead single instead of Applause.

Christina could literally push Beyonce outta the spotlight currently if her albums didn't flop and she did some more promo performances. She's got a way better voice and can dance good like idgi. Since that's what Beyhive seems to enjoy is her vocals, if Christina could perform up to par she would outshine her in a heartbeat

True but it's sad xtina is past her prime and won't even go gold next album :(

This. I love LG but I don't think she has guidance when it comes time to choose her singles. She just picks them. I do like artpop although it wasn't as fluid as a whole like her other albums. I do think she'll stick around because she is unbelievable live. She's just in a lull right now. (Although I love her jazz album with tony) I've seen her three times and everytime I am blown away by her endurance and stamina throughout her shows.

Sadly yeah. I think she will continue to have commercial hit singles but her albums probably won't sell. I think she realizes this to a point and probably why she is continuing with The Voice (smart move on her part)

She's just misguided period.  :orangu:

If she doesn't make it next era, she'll be more forgotten than Britney.

Yes. I wish I could be her manager. I feel the same about the singles JT chose to put out for 20/20 experience besides Mirrors. lol

 I'm well aware that britney's career needs to be driven, a new worldwide hit, but that them suppose that taylor swift has beaten britney, God please, taylor still does not compare to the peak of britney, the only thing have as proof taylor's fans is that she has sold over 1M in 3 debut consecutive? besides of wikiflop and its manipulations, but in worldwide sales always was mediocre if taylor goes to Latin America with a world tour she would not have the same impact because she is not as popular as in Usa now that she turned a Pop artist maybe her popularity could increase more unlike britney that really was big worldwide and for not talk that she was a set of things of which no taylor, iconic performances image, sales records, britney was at 00's was the epitome that defined a pop star during a prime time.... Now we are in the peak of Taylor and the girl still has not a one performance that will be remembered or the media has called iconic and the girl is in the industry since 2008 other stars of her generation that not sell as she does already have, all pop star who become icon during  their prime time should have performances that always will be remembered that even got to serve as proof  when the flop is coming that always comes or when they are already established as an icon with a career of more than a decade in their back, britney however has performances that people still remember 14 years ago, yes taylor is almost  to tie britney sales only in U.S.A  because baby one more time outsold taylor overall sales of her entire discography and still has not won a album or single diamond Adele for example debuted two years after taylor with the same sales opportunities according to their time already has certified  diamond in USA and with one album sold more than whole taylor swift discography. I do not think britney just be remembered as the teen star of the late 90's britney in the 00's was many more than she became in part of  pop culture for this her breakdown was over dimensioned  by the media as was, britney did a set of unforgettable moments and performance and if people sees and compare with most current performances britney had a incredible power and charisma for that's gp has never forgiven her breakdown

Xtina= Cyndi Lauper

3 first hit albums.. then floppage from their 4ths... :tbh:

 If we're talking who's the next who here I'd say performance and artist wise (not successfulness wise)...

Britney = Janet (DANCE DIVAS)

Gaga or Rihanna = Madonna (all about the controversy)

Xtina = Cher (If Xtina were still relevant)

Beyonce = Tina Turner (I mean obviously)

Ariana = Mariah (This is stretching the imagination)

What do you guys think?  :thinkingpinky:
