grammys are musical snobs they probably would regard britney spears music as a guilty pleasure. which is stupid music is meant to be entertaining  and evoke emotion. for instance it is accepted among musical critics and people who consider themselves have "good" music taste that the beatles are brilliant and anyone who thinks other wise doesn't know what they are talking about. i hate the Beatles i find them so depressing and their songs are very basic but if certain people continually praise something and say it is genius people are most of the time like sheep and agree. it's like when an artist paints abstract art and an "expert" says it's great and genius then other people agree that it's great because if an expert says it it must be true and they hand over their money and buy the art.

I will never understand the big deal about the Grammy's - or even Oscars for that matter in the acting field. They're decided by a bunch of guys who sit in a basement (not literally but you get my point) and decide what's the best that year. They show no reflection of what people actually think of the song/movie/album/person at all. They don't matter in my opinion and Britney doesn't need them. She's got plenty of other awards where it matters (although she does deserve more and often gets unnecessarily snubbed by of award shows who get paid to kiss the asses of other artists)
