I can't at y'all blaming Britney, BJ flopped because of no promotion, she doesn't organize her promotion her team does :yakno: , and her tema only organized 2 comebacks, 2007 which they gave up on after the VMAs and 2008 which was actually pretty succesful :mhm: . Femme Fatale still sold great, she had 3 top 10 singles, and even though her promo performances were not the best she had some great tour moments.

By the way Britney lip syncs and has always lip synced, why is it an issue now? She lip synced all but like 30 seconds of DWAD did y'all forget. Sure no part of POM is live but she needs confidence, and backing vocalists that can cover up if she misses a note because of how exhausted she is (Like BOMT in DWAD) and she should start singing ballads live, and touring again, all this is simple and have you ever thought that maybe she can't perform anywhere else because of her PH contract?

she made up for the lip syncing by dancing her ass off

I think the damage is already done and nothing can undo it at this point. And they know that.

there's no such thing. if she sings live ONCE, the media will be all over that shit and start praising her, and the sheep that are the general public will follow

What ? Hell no! People would not start praising her! People would be all like "now we understand why she lipsyncs" and stuff "Go back to miming"..

But she will never sing that well like people expects her too, I think it's a lie we tell ourself.. She still got slammed after AMA 2002..

She won't sing well until she tries and practices. I can see why the performance was panned, but Britney has a good, unique voice... she just needs to learn more how to use it properly! She just tended to have these unnecessary Screamtina-like runs and she tended to push her voice when she had limited power, but that could've been fixed. Otherwise, it shouldn't have been an abandoned task for her when she is, of course, a singer.

Other artists have undergone similar scrutiny with their singing earlier in their career, like Rihanna and Janet, but they worked on it and got better.

That one just got in the list of most iconic performances in AMA history! The power of livevocalney :Godney: She can do it if she wants to do it! bOMT era had great live performances, OIDIA too.. She just needs to work for that. Vocal coach and stuff

Tbh I don't care if she's lipsynced since the beginning of her career. :omg1:  It's bothered me before and it bothers me even more now that she doesn't even dance that much anymore.

and she can at least pre-record  :ohno:

I want Britney to WANT this.

I would rather not get any music at all than get something half-ass.

If she can't perform because of her Vegas contract stipulations, then fine. But if she is going to continue to make music, she needs to put in the effort. I understand she probably a) doesn't want all the attention and press from her peak, and b) wants to spend as much time as possible with her kids. But she is an entertainer, and if she plans to release another album, she needs to promote it. If she does a second BJ, well...

:no1curr:

But again, she needs to want this.

When she really WANTED this, she had her most iconic moments. If she had the same passion and drive that she had fifteen years ago, she could set the world on fire. She was untouchable in her peak. She could shit all over those basic bitches.

:crying1:
