Ms. Spears should finally stop muting her own voice by liberating herself from unnecessary autotune. With her influence, she could save a billion lives through her songs. The decline in the record sales of Ms. Spears is not representative of her failing star power. It is just a manifestation of the people’s need to reconnect with her. I am sure that we all agree that Ms. Spears still has it. However, she needs to set herself free from the bondage of generically senseless pop music. It is definitely hight time for her to start taking full control of her career. The world is waiting for the next song that will reveal her soul. For every heartfelt song she delivers, she might just be singing for the powerless fan she used to empower.

Britney said between her 2 first albums, that it was boring to sing perfect all the time, it was more exciting to sing differently, and learn new techniques..

Autotune is not necessarily bad, it's just that they use it in the wrong way imo. I think for Blackout and FF autotune was used good, but for BJ not so much.

Who said it was "the truth" tho? This article IS an opinion. It's up to you to agree with this or not. But unfortunately seems like most of people here agree with it because yes that's what they think too.

Nobody is asking her to sing perfectly. It's just that imo her music has lost her soul. It's just generic piece of autotuned shit now. Anybody could sing her song it would make no difference, why? Because there is not her soul in it, there is not her "mark" that when we start listening to it, it makes us feel like "THIS is a Britney song". And she sounds like a chipmunk or a robot in a lot of them, or worse it's not even her singing. There is a difference between singing differently, learn new techniques (like her deep voice during her first album,her whispering in ITZ etc.. Thing is it's still HER voice, no overused autotune) and just put tons of autotune on it at the point that you can't even recognize her voice. This is not singing differently it's making no effort to sing a song for your fans, you just sing it like that on the studio, and put tons of autotune so it finally can sound "ok", or because you just cant sing the song with your natural voice so you have to be pitched to death, but thing is at the end it's not a Britney song it's a computer robot song.

I agree with this opinion. Most of her recent songs are just songs for anyone. In her pervious albums we could see that she was growing up as a human and as an artist. Nowadays her songs talk about things but not her things. The last song I could relate to her was piece of me.

that truth tea its all true tbh, femme fatale was a very good album but it wasnt Britney at all, her voice was too autotuned and at certain moments I could barely recognize her, same goes for BJ, only autotuned in a different way, Circus was the last album we had THE Britney singing and making her music, I hope she really gives something better than ff and bj now

I don't see others fanbase sit around and moan for years about the same shit. I saw some Christina  fans being like "isn't her voice changing?? She can't hit those notes like she used to?" and people just nodded and was like "yeah, it's okay she can still sing better than anybody else" and that was it! They don't go all "why does Christinas team ruin her legacy, why is the producers editing Christinas voice to make it sound like she is 18 again and can hit those notes, why is she not fit, Christinas team are stupid they didn't promote Lotus, why can't she dance like she used to, why doesn't she tour, it's her managers fault waaaaaaaahwaaaaahwaaaaah*insert crying baby sound*"

The GP was never infatuated with Christina as they were Britney though. People loved Britney and felt her truly to be down to earth and identified with her in ways they didn't with Christina. She wasn't as compelling a figure.

Exactly. It is a sad thing to come to terms with, and I'm not so sure if I've even completely accepted the way things are now but that doesn't mean I don't want to talk about things that could reasonably be done to better preserve her legacy.

I'm sorry but being a fan doesnt mean accept everything. I dont see what's wrong with discussing about some arguable subjects. And we are not here, discussing about her life, but her career, more specifically her voice,which is different since WE made her, she's there today thanks to us, WE pay for what's she's doing. Don't you think it's normal to say it when something is not ok then??

If you are tired of it, just dont open the thread in the first place. This thread isn't even bad, nobody insulted Britney. I even find this thread interesting because no it's not a "hate" thread, it's actually well argued with good arguments. And it's just us sharing opinions, if we can't even do that, what can we do? "Wow she's autotuned and unrecognizable, the music is bad but it's great, continue like that we are proud of you Britney!", "She moves like a robot on stage sometimes and looks bored but it's amazing, Vegas will last forever like this, no doubt!", "Her lipsyncing is so perfectly done she's a queen, people should take notes from her!"

Well no, sorry. Thing is there are more bad things than good things about her musical career right now, so what or we supposed to do? Lie? Don't say anything when it's not positive, so the forum will die?
