Isn't It Sad Janet Doesn't Get Nearly As Much Credit She Deserves?

Most of the new gen just remember her from that Superbowl incident. But, many artists have been deeply inspired by her music, her performances she's done, from Britney to Beyonce to Rihanna, even Gaga.

 

Not to mention no matter how hard people copy, she still slays ALL our faves at 45 (her age here), NO EXCEPTIONS. The decline from the 80s and 90s in terms of performers is real.

This performance is amazing - I am a massive fan of Janet - her Velvet rope album is 10000000000 times better than any music released this year - and she always executes her moves to a T

I really enjoy The Velvet Rope, and some of her 80s singles are still pretty catchy to this day also, Discipline should've gotten more attention tbh, it's kinda a proto-Blackout tbh

You should watch her previous tours, those were incredible (especially Velvet Rope Tour)! They were obviously an inspiration for Britney, too.

I was never a fan of hers or liked her music (not really my type) but I do respect her very much . She left a huge trace on the music industry and she was an inspiration to my dear , she sings well, and she performs well too She does deserve much more credit than Madonna tbh, Madonna's vocals are insanely weak, all of her songs are sang in one key tone, her dance moves revolve around yoga, and showing how flexible she is, she's barely even dancing or having dance moves (remember matm? all she did was roll on the floor splitting herself lol) while Janet actually dances. Oh well i guess she had enough , glad shes happy now.

I love Janet and I miss her being in the spotlight. It's been almost 7 years since Discipline   Either she's had enough or she's taking a long break so that people forget about the Superbowl (even though it was 10 years ago)

I will forever   Janet.  She is an undeniable pop music legend and is still cited as a major influence on many, so I don't think she's necessarily forgotten.  I find her greatest hits and style of performing much more compelling then Madonna's easily. Her Velvet Rope tour is one of the best concerts, I dare anyone try to skip a single number while watching.
