You are absolutely right. And not only that, a LOT of the hatred towards Obama stems from racism. People can't stand that we have an African American president. If we had a white Democrat as pres today I strongly believe the media would not nearly be as harsh as they are with Obama.

Can't say much as I don't live in the USA but I think that as much good he did, he's made some horribly bad decisions too, USA had no need to get involved in the Syryan war, I just don't get it why does the USA government keep thinking that they are in charge of keeping the world peace , and it would be somewhat ok if they actually did it but they just fire up even more wars. A country which is all-in for the peace shouldnt use 50% of its economy for weapon industry or even be the first army force in the world. But ye, he's done some good things, but some very stupid and bad too.

I don't live there  :)  , I respect Obama, and I'm happy he is gonna let the illegal people who is there stay, as long as they pay taxes, that seems really fair to me tbh :mhm: , but I wish all the wars end up, he should listen Malala Yousafzai ... And, he is a better president than the president of my country tbh

illegals are hurting our economy so bad. I voted for him the first time, but I when I realized he didn't give a shit about illegals that's when I voted for Romney.

basically me. Illegals don't have as big an economic impact as some would say unless you work minimum wage (it's worth noting the single largest act of amnesty happened under Pres. Reagan; the irony :orangu:) but his economic policy is pretty horrendous (I'm studying international economics right now, so I have a bit more breadth to some economic topics) I'm not a big fan of the healthcare overhaul, the implementation and structure of the law is pretty wrong for a country of our size, though I do like the credit and banking reforms that have happened, so I'll give you that. He may have publically renounced torture policies, but Guantanamo is still operational, even after he vowed to close it -- not to mention the complete collapse of Middle Eastern foreign policy by deciding to play God with Sec. Clinton in Libya and Egypt that further destabilized the region and, in continuing Bush policy of interventionism, created the desperate societal husk that would give rise to the Islamic State (I am SO grateful he has decided not to invade Syria).

I really don't care much for social issues, it's never been a big activist passion of mine (my interests politically are more economic and foreign policy-based) but I really don't mind advancement in gay marriage; I know a lot of my LGBT friends in Seattle are really happy now and I can't wait to go to some of their future weddings :)

I sided with Obama after seeing McCain choose that idiot Palin woman to be a heartbeat away from the presidency but then grew incredibly disillusioned by his economic and foreign policy. I loathe hydrangeas Tea Partiers, because while Obama is a pretty shitty president in the issues I care about, the Tea Party that's hijacked the Republican Party is literally batshit crazy. I grew to like Romney and his principled moderation, especially now after being right about the economy, Russia, and our foreign policy, but unfortunately, the gaggle of Tea Party candidates (Santorum, Bachmann, Gingrich, et al) really did a number on his image and exposed him to be a pretty flimsy candidate against a deeply unpopular president who should've lost reelection; I have no idea who I'd even trust with the presidency from the Repubs at this point because they're all way too extreme. I'm definitely not a fan of Ms. Clinton; she's an outdated Democrat that tries to be progressive but comes off as fake and out of touch with modern-day progressives and liberals; as outlandish as I find most of her policy prescriptions, I'd much rather Elizabeth Warren run because at least there'd be interesting ideas and debates from that instead of Hillary ascending to what she perceives is her god-given right.

Ugh. America guys. Bush sucked. Obama sucks. Hillary's gonna suck. Britney 2016.
