I thought the same thing. Britney looks like a maturing young woman, Selena looks like she's trying to be that.

Selena has a ways to go but maybe this heartache is what she needed to become a real Artist. Don't hate on me but, I have always said she, of all the new Artists, has the bearing to be seen as a young Britney type Artist. All the others have no class. They sell records but don't represent what I feel should also include in Pop Royalty. However, Selena crashed and burned early in her career. Who knows if she will recover from that set back. However, they do still call Selena a Pop Princess.

Selena is my fave right after Britney, I stan for both :tbh: and I must say Selena is one of the 3 decent artists in todays pop music (adele, lana and herself, not including godney ofc) , all of the rest are pure trash who sell sex appeal and body. I like her music, it is really influenced by Britney SO MUCH, you can hear it even in the instrumentals and the vocals. She really grew as an artist lately, esp with what the heart wants. She's growing into an actual woman and I am proud of it. She is also very humble just like britney, I mean look at this L5sksqU.jpg
She's a fucking millionaire, yet takes her own trash out, reminds me of humbleney so much. She's cute and good hearted, UNICEF ambassador for so long (started when it wasn't even cool in the world of famous ppl) . Basically when it comes to personality and vocal range/music type, she's very similar to Britney. As for the dancing, Selena is far behind (unfortunatelly). But if she works hard she could achieve it :tbh: at least coming near to brit :) however Im proud of both my faves :yay1:

I always liked how Selena has always been up front about Britney's influence on her. A lot of artists don't like to talk about other artists the way Selena talks about Britney. I think it's also really important because then Selena's young fans will be curious about Britney and maybe discover more about her to feel a better connection.

I always wondered if Selena was really jealous Demi got to work with her on X factor, lol. I feel like she would jump at that opportunity had it been her.

That being said, Selena is no Britney. Her music is okay, but I don't know if she was born to perform the way britney was. She was good on her show, definitely has acting chops and comedic timing but her personal life and troubles has completely clouded over everything so early on in her career I don't know if she will be taken seriously in the future. I don't know if it's true, but blind gossip constantly writes gossip about Selena and a possible drug and alcohol addiction which would be very sad if it is true, she is so young and needs to surround herself with good people.

Yeah, I'm pretty positive Selena is suffering from addictions that come along with fame and being around the wrong people with too much money. Blind Gossip is reliable enough to make me believe this girl has issues. I feel like she's expressing more pain than just a broken heart in her new music video.

ikr people are like "dont believe blind gossip" but usually they get shit right long before things are revealed publicly.

 

i do too - it's very sad because she seems level headed and quite intelligent - i hope she pulls through
