I love the dance moves in try again - I can see where you are coming from with the vibe - mainly at the end - however - I think the slave choreo was extremely origional - and really catchy - it is one of those iconic moved that all the fans tried to replicate.. So people related to it.

I was talking about that specific move both Aaliyah and Britney do (swing the leg out to the side then do the robot arm thing :ummlol:). The rest of Slave and Try Again are definitely unique. :tbh:

I truly believe Britney got inspired by Aaliyah :yestbh: , the clothes, the music and the dance moves are similar to the Aaliyah's style :uhhuh: , and, to be honest, Aaliyah was so talented, that it's natural Britney got inspired by another amazing performer/singer/actress :cutelaugh:

I don't see the same exact move being done by Britney. But anyway they both had mutual respect as for each other as performers and I think Britney has mentioned being a fan of Aaliyah's music so I wouldn't be surprised if she wanted to emulate her at times.

noooo. i danced for like more than half my life. it's just a move, like a backwards kick-ball-change

Woop-dee-doo for you. I have been dancing since I was four. What's your point? :nowaygif: They also do similar arm isolations right after they ron de jambe the leg out. And as I saw Aaliyah do that it immediately made me think of Britney. Then I figured it wouldn't be too far-fetched if Wade Robson had a couple of his influences in mind when choreographing Slave.

no, i thought it was inspired by Salma Hayek's role in From Dusk Till Dawn

I mean "Literally those couple of seconds where they do the exact same thing" not the overall theme of the song and choreo. Like Wade or Brian (or whomever choreographed it) took a tiny bit of inspiration from Aaliyah. The moves (leg swing and arms) are too similar to be nothing more than a coincidence.
