Why do we hate will.i.am?

We first had a collab with him (Big Fat Bass).

When we found out, we had no problem at all! We were like COOL :shockney:

then... the song came out, it sloooooowly dropped for us after the promo performances of FF.

....

many many many months later... S&S collab was announced... everyone didn't know how to react.

Everyone was like... again? oh well.

S&S came out, love-hate situation for everyone. It smashed the radio---> Everyone kinda loved it more.

And everyone said: "ok!! No more will.i.am! That was fun!"

months later.... (after we already knew Britney started working on Britney Jean).... Will.i.Am is confirmed as a executive producer...

uh oh.... everyone was like "oh my god" pls no...

(because everyone was on the idea that DANJA would be executive cause of the Blackout 2.0 rumours)

then the tracklist comes out... we see "It Should Be Easy (feat. will.I.am)" ........... nottttttttt again...

then the snippets come out... It should be easy snippet was only will.i.am's part...... and MAY I mention also it was the chorus....

....... ..... ..... .... -.- .... where is Britney.....

then the full song comes out on the free stream... Britney's vocals are robotic.

That's phuqin it. We cannot. Dat's phuqin IT!!!!!

I kinda agree, I mean, I don't hate him, I just, want him far away from Britney :lmfaoo:

BUT, I have to thank him for Now That I Found You :mahhaw: but yeah, ISBE is more like a will.i.am song rather than Britney's. Anyway, I'm happy Danja didn't happen. Not here for a Blackout 2.0, like, never :nonotatall:

I began to dislike him as a producer/artist when he turned the BEP into a generic pop group, completely devoid of their once soulful, funky sound. And he almost kind of did the same thing with Britney. Gave her songs that have no life.

And I actually do like EDM, but not if it's boring. There are so many producers/djs Britney could have worked with if the EDM style was a must. Kaskade is a personal favorite of mine. His music is very atmospheric and complements the voices of the women who sing on his tracks.

I don't hate him, in fact, I like a lot of the songs he produced, I mean, Black Eyed Peas albums are flawless (Except for The Beginning), and he also produced Fergie's first album which is pretty good. Although something got horribly wrong with Britney Jean. I love Big Fat Bass and I always caught myself singing to it in the shower. I also love Scream & Shout, it's very catchy and fun... and it was a global smash hit! I won't judge or hate his work just because Britney Jean wasn't what most people wanted to be. Like Britney said a hundred times, he's a genius.

I don't hate him tbh. He seems like a nice guy. And It should be easy is probably the only up tempo song that sounds finished and not like a demo :drown: Also, more than half of the album don't have shitty lyrics just about dancing on a club and shit like that, it's a very good point.

The only thing i don't like about BJ (except the fact that i don't like electro) it's that it sounds like a demo album, and the vocal production on most of it is a mess.

But i really don't understand why people blame Will.i.am for BJ tbh, i think it's just the easy way for you just to not blame Britney instead. It's like saying Britney's team is shit regarding promo, while in real the only one to blame is Britney herself.

I don't hate him. I actually like BFB and SS, I also do like BJ, but I kinda agree with the idea that he didnt want Britney's vision. It sounded like Britney said "I want a ballad, like everytime, but about breakups" and he just said "ok and we'll add electronic sound in the background" and she just said "fine, ok" :( lol

Anyways I just don't like his thought of EDM anymore, its basic now, every artist is using it. :( I just want a change in music for once and not have everyone think they have to make EDM which I'm sure Britney didn't want EDM, but still.

My problem with Will i am is that he's only the EP because he put this team together. He left the album to his minions-both Anthony Preston and Jean-Baptiste. Sure the Jean-Baptiste songs were dropped last minute (or as rumored that the songs were pulled when it was decided that Britney would not promote BJ so the album had a small budget).

Britney deserves a full time EP. Some one who cares about her work. Even if as some claim she doesn't care, the Britney Brand has earned millions and deserve someone with skill and patients.

I love BJ but it does sound like a Demo album. Or an EP of demos, Collabs and a single or two.

All of this.  What really separates Britney Jean from any of her other albums is the production side of things being a complete mess.  Many criticize Femme Fatale for being "auto tuned" and being "generic" but there is no denying (a) Britney is singing lead and (b) all the tracks are slickly produced.  All the ghost singing aside (which really infuriates me above all else), I give will.i.am some kudos for having songs with more emotional, spiritual depth and even though there are some songs aimed for The Club the entire album doesn't revolve around it.

the last time i listen to bj was in june.... i only listen to work bitch today...will.i.am has busted the whole album.....it is a bad album, but i bought 3 copies.. :omg1:

don´t know why s&s was such a big hit( you know it was only because of britney) and of course the video will hit the 500 million mark on vevo next year

The production is reductive and awful, and Brit's vocals on most of the songs are god-awful. Like honestly, I'm sure a team of users on Universe could make and produce a better album than BJ :tea:

However, to be positive, Hold On Tight is a gem on the album (tho will.u.not didn't work on the song). I kinda wish that soundscape was more how BJ would've sounded like.

Hmm ok ?? Only Don't cry and Hold on tight are good in that list, maybe Alien. The rest is bad. And oh God, Tik tik boom is garbage. And no need to vote my post down just because you don't agree.

don't know why someone disliked this comment, it's mostly true - from an outside perspective since we have no idea what goes on inside

I luv3 big fat bass :wutwut: one of the best songs on femme fatale

S&S catchy and cool but not a song I can listen to forever

and then Britney Jean is just mediocre with some good tracks that are mostly not from will.i.am himself :gloria:

I don't hate him, but his music has gotten really bad :orangu:

He's so fucking obnoxious.

I don't dislike him because of his work with Britney.

I dislike him because he thinks he's all "next level" and up on the futuristic and shit... when in reality everything he's into is late. (Two-thousand-and-late.)

I dislike him because he's one of those people who thinks he has the biggest heart in the world and is totally empathetic and every single step he takes is so powerful, life changing, and a gift to mankind... when in reality all he's doing is flaunting himself and no one gives a shit about his pompous ass.

this tbh....I really liked will.i.am, his first albums with BEP and even fergie's 1st solo album are very good...but he lost what made him so cool as a producer...he just does the same edm autotuned sh*t over and over again...I loved the funky sound that his songs used to have

I feel like Will.i.am didnt really do his job as executive producer. Though BJ is a good album, all the good songs on it are the ones he didnt touch. Felt like since his last album bombed, he tried to use Britney's as a redemption and though i hate to say it, Britney allowed it to happen.

If Britney Jean could have been as cool and diverse as Fergie's "The Dutchess", it would have been amazing.
