Yes, age plays a huge factor and so does maturity. No offense to GODNEY but she isnt smart as Gaga. Gaga is very mature and very intelligent. Artistry as well, both would change the industry but at a very different rate. For example every hoe in 2001 wanted to be GODNEY (sweet, sexy and "dumb blonde" Every hoe in 2011 wanted to be Gaga (eccentric outfits, crazy, ART, pretend to be smart) 

 

MUSIC plays a huge factor as well. Britneys music targeted young tweens and Gagas music targets adults or atleast 16+.... Gaga isnt family friendly

I understand you're a gaga stan and that really is ok, I am certainly not gonna hate you for it, but you have got to stop comparing them, they have literally nothing similar whatsoever. Gaga is a person who needs to shock people throughout her entire career so she would be able to sell and stick in the media. Britney never had to do such thing, she was all over the media for her songs, music direction she followed, and her insanely good/amazing performances. Gaga is already fading because she did all the disgusting, shocking things there were one could do, she wore a meat dress (and all other kinds of) , she had a girl puke all over her LIVE, i don't think you can go any lower than that. And that's about it, the media gives her the spotlight less and less. Yes she is talented, she has the voice, she has some good innovative lyrics, but similar to someone like Britney? c'mon. I don't really see it but I do agree that Gaga > Selena in terms of coming close to attempting to match Britney's success. I see that Selena admires Britney as much as we do but come on 

 

Gaga's peak was enormous though, people all over the world were fascinated with her for quite a while. But she hasn't come close to Britney in terms success and she's not doing very well on keeping longevity. I don't really see her eras matching Britney's eras either but maybe that's just me

There is seriously no reason to be rude. It's just an opinion with some comparisons and joking around.

Brit & Gaga have different careers, had different audiences, but I can see what you mean. Like OIDIA+Britney peak and TFM+BTW peak is very similar as well as public obsession with both of them. And to whoever said Britney never needed to use shock factor, she absolutely did. Brit was talented but also knew how to cause a stir so let's not pretend Britney didn't use outfits or anything to generate public interest. Most pop stars do it.
